She learned from Joli that Brent was in Manila, busy with the construction of his condo and rent pad. Hannah had accompanied him to Manila a day earlier. The news saddened her because it felt like Brent had only passed through her life again to reopen the wounds that were beginning to heal. For the past few days, she had been in touch with William, her cousin's boss in Dubai, through video calls. He was kind, and she was slowly allowing him to get closer to her. Despite the distance, he managed to show his interest in her every day, calling or messaging without fail. He even sent flowers that her mother found delightful.
