“No, I don't…” Kathy responded, taking her leave out of the boardroom in defeat. I breathed in, nervously looking at Shane while he penned down his signature. The meeting wrapped up pretty quick in thirty minutes and I was all alone in the boardroom. I sat down, inhaling deeply and packing up my document. Could I have said meeting Shane twice in a week was a coincidence? Something flashed through my mind and I hurried out of the room, figuring out that Shane might have not gone too far and quickened up my pace to match his.
