Chapter 7 I Can Save Her
Elaine quickly gathered her thoughts and said in a steady but urgent voice, "Yosef, you have to stop them. They can't amputate Anna!"
The current Elaine is different from who she once was.
In another time dimension, after the host lost a loved one to illness, the host, overwhelmed by sorrow, dreamed of becoming a Miracle Healer to save lives and avoid such tragedies in the future.
Elaine dedicated ten whole years to her journey, transforming from a complete novice in medicine to a globally recognized doctor, achieving the host's dream.
By chance, during her decade of clinical practice, she encountered a case involving a young girl who needed an amputation to survive.
If her leg was spared, the operation had only a 50 percent chance of success.
Yet Elaine succeeded!
In this lifetime, she is determined to defy the odds and alter Anna's fate!
She wants her to live fully and without constraints.
Yosef shouted in frustration, "If she doesn't amputate, she'll die! What's more important, the leg or her life?"
"I can save both her life and her leg!"
Elaine didn't have the time to explain everything to him.
She quickly left those words hanging in the air as she hurried out.
"You can?"
Yosef was taken aback. "Your sixth brother, Jay, said the amputation is necessary. He's highly respected in the medical field."
"My sixth brother?"
The sixth son of the Currans, Jay Curran.
A prodigy from a young age.
He was reading medical books by age three, writing prescriptions by six, and making strides in the medical field by twelve.
By twenty-three, he had gained international fame, performing countless medical miracles and earning numerous accolades.
He is among the top ten figures in the medical field.
The other nine are all elderly men over sixty.
His authority is unquestionable.
Elaine stopped briefly and said, "Yosef, trust me. I can handle this."
Yosef replied, "I believe in you."
As he spoke, he felt as though he was losing his mind.
What does Elaine know about medicine?
If even the world-famous doctor, Jay Curran can't manage it, how could a woman from the entertainment industry possibly succeed?
Yet he had faith in her.
He had always believed in her.
Elaine directed, "Yosef, you must stop them. I'll be there shortly."
Yosef answered, "Alright, I'll wait for you."
Anticipating a possible encounter with Jay, Elaine swiftly went back to her room to change into another outfit. She then made her way to the underground garage.
Among the hundreds of high-end cars and sports cars, she selected the Koenigsegg Agera, known for its exceptional performance and rarity.
It is priced at more than 1,3 million dollars.
Now, it has become invaluable.
It can reach a speed of 62 miles per hour in only 2.9 seconds.
The silver-gray sports car glided through the crowded streets with the grace and swiftness of a water serpent.
The distinctive roar of the supercar filled the air.
It was both sleek and flashy.
"Did something just zoom past? Was that a car?"
"Impossible for it to be a car. This is a city street, not a highway. That speed must be at least 120 miles per hour. It's bound to cause trouble."
"You're right. It can't be a car. What exactly was that?"
"Are you imagining things?"
A sports car was parked downstairs at the hospital.
Without bothering to take out her car keys, Elaine hurried toward the hospital lobby.
As soon as she left, a crowd quickly formed around the high-end sports car, marveling at it.
Finding the elevator too slow, she sprinted up the stairs to the fourth-floor operating room.
Her face remained calm, and she showed no signs of exhaustion as she walked with steady steps.
Donning a white coat, a mask, and black-framed glasses, she thoroughly concealed her identity.
She then approached the chaotic door of the operating room.
