Chapter 14 A Token
Bryce was speechless.
Bryce thought, you are such a busy person. Why are you free now?
Bryce did not know why Patrick always came to this jade market for a stroll as if he had been looking for something.
"Sir, do you want to buy it?"
"Yes. How much money do you want?"
"How much would you like to pay?"
Kristen didn't know much about jade, but she knew that the things from the Barrett family wouldn't be too bad.
Trey was born with a silver spoon. Even the jade he casually took out eleven years ago was valuable.
The shopkeeper thought that Kristen was a young girl who didn't know much about jade. He sighed and said, "The color is not bad, but it is not complete. This should be a pair of jade, and there should be another piece. Am I right?"
"Yes."
"So, this is the price for half of it."
The shopkeeper made a gesture.
"Do you mean 8,000 dollars?"
Kristen frowned.
"I mean 80 dollars."
Kristen was annoyed.
"Fine. I don't want to sell it."
Kristen turned around and was about to leave.
The shopkeeper saw her bad attitude and became cold. He shouted, "At most 320 dollars. You can go out to inquire about it. As long as I don't accept it, no one else dares to accept it. Just mention my name to them. I am Sidney Berry."
This was obviously a threat.
However, Kristen thought that the jade must be worth more than 80 dollars. She asked more shopkeepers.
Kristen didn't know why Sidney was so powerful. As expected, no one else accepted the jade.
"Give her 8,000 dollars and buy that piece of jade.
"By the way, ask her about how she got that piece of jade."
Patrick watched what had happened from the side, his eyes locked onto that piece of jade.
It had been eleven years...
"I'll go now."
Bryce observed the expression on Patrick's face and did not dare to ask further. He hurriedly chased after Kristen.
"Miss, your jade is not bad. How much do you want to sell it for? We can discuss the price."
Bryce was also a professional. It only took half a minute for him to switch from an assistant to a shopkeeper.
Kristen looked back at him. She saw that Bryce was dressed in a suit and didn't seem to be buying jade here. Therefore, she didn't want to talk to him.
"Miss, don't worry. I do want to buy jade. My shop is there. Do you want to take a look?"
Bryce pointed at a small store.
Patrick winked at the bodyguard next to him.
The bodyguard walked quickly to the small shop.
"Okay."
Kristen was relieved to see that he had a store there.
They went to the store together.
Bryce casually picked up the glasses and magnifying glasses on the table. He observed the jade for a while and commented, pretending to be an expert.
"This jade is of good quality. It is a good piece of jade. It would be even better if it was a pair.
"Miss, don't you have another piece here?"
"No, just this one."
"Fine. Did you get this from your family?"
"No, it is a gift from someone else. How much can you pay me?"
Kristen was a little anxious.
She really had no money now. She needed to buy a mobile phone, get a new mobile phone card, a new identity card, and so on. She also needed to leave some living expenses. She really needed some money.
Otherwise, she would not know how to start her life again.
"Is 5,000 dollars enough?"
