Chapter 14 : Teaching You to Follow the Rules!
As evening approached, the setting sun cast a brilliant glow on the skyscrapers of the city. After a busy day, people hurried home like birds returning to their nests.
A taxi carrying Bei Ge and Su Wanrong stopped in front of a top private hospital.
The rosy blush on Su Wanrong's cheeks had not completely faded as she waited for Bei Ge to pay and then followed suit.
Two private bodyguards dressed in black suits stood at the entrance of the hospital. When they saw Su Wanrong getting out of the car, their faces changed slightly and they immediately approached her.
"Miss, where have you been? Your family has been searching the entire city for you."
Su Wanrong's expression was cold and indifferent as she replied, "Do I need to report to you where I'm going? Move aside, I want to see my father!"
"Tell your uncles that I, Su Wanrong, will never agree to become a tool for their exchange of interests."
The two bodyguards' faces turned pale at her words, but they did not step aside. One of them said, "Miss, the old master has given orders that whenever we see you, we must bring you back. Please cooperate and don't make things difficult for us."
Su Wanrong's icy gaze fell on their faces as she said coldly, "What? Are you planning to lay hands on me?"
The bodyguard replied, "I dare not! But the old master has given orders, and we dare not disobey. If Miss does not cooperate, we are afraid we will offend you."
Beside them, Bei Ge furrowed his brows at the bodyguards' words. It was clear that they were slaves who dared to defy their master.
Su Wanrong's face grew even colder as she said, "Very well! If you have the guts, try touching me!"
"Step aside!" she snapped, reaching out to push the two bodyguards aside.
However, the bodyguards did not move and instead grabbed Su Wanrong's arm, saying, "Miss, please forgive us," as they pulled her towards the car parked nearby.
This scene shocked Bei Ge. He hadn't expected these bodyguards to actually dare to lay hands on her.
"Hold on!"
He quickly called out to the two bodyguards, saying, "You are going against your superiors, acting against the natural order. How does your master discipline you?"
The two bodyguards stopped in their tracks and turned to look at him, saying, "Friend, this is a family matter of the Su family. I advise you not to meddle, or else you will suffer."
Su Wanrong, seeing Bei Ge speak up, hurriedly said, "Bei Ge, save me!"
Bei Ge looked at the two bodyguards, a cold smile on his face as he said, "So what if it's the Su family? Are they really that impressive? Let go of Miss Su, or else you will be in trouble!"
The two bodyguards exchanged glances, and one of them said, "Ah Bao, go deal with this ignorant guy. Do it cleanly, don't let anyone find out."
The other bodyguard nodded and let go of Su Wanrong's arm, walking towards Bei Ge with clenched fists.
"Kid, there's a road to heaven you don't take, yet you barge into hell. Since you're looking for death, I'll grant your wish!"
With that, he quickened his pace and pounced towards Bei Ge.
Bang!
A muffled sound rang out. Before the bodyguard could reach Bei Ge, Bei Ge had already made his move, his fist striking the bodyguard's chest like a dragon.
Ah!!!
The bodyguard let out a miserable scream, flying backwards and leaving a large dent in his chest where Bei Ge's fist had landed. Blood gushed from his nose and mouth.
Bei Ge's movements were too fast. The other bodyguard hadn't even had time to react when he suddenly felt a blur before his eyes, followed by a crisp cracking sound. Then, a searing pain shot through his wrist, causing his heart to tremble.
Smack!
Bei Ge twisted the hand that the bodyguard had used to grab Su Wanrong's arm, then punched him in the face, shattering his cheekbone. Covered in blood, the bodyguard fell to the ground, groaning in pain.
All of this happened within five seconds, leaving Su Wanrong stunned and unable to react.
Bei Ge walked up to the bodyguard covered in blood, looking down at him with a cold gaze as he said, "This punch is to teach you to follow the rules. If you dare to defy your superiors again, you will die!"
"Go back and tell your master that my name is Bei Ge. If he doesn't agree, he can come find me anytime."
"Get lost!"
With a roar, Bei Ge frightened the bodyguard on the ground, who quickly got up and helped his companion, who was still spitting blood, before hastily leaving.
By this time, Su Wanrong had finally regained her senses, her eyes misty as she softly said to Bei Ge, "Thank you!"
Bei Ge smiled and said, "No problem, let's go into the hospital quickly."
The two of them entered the hospital, and Su Wanrong led Bei Ge to the top floor in an elevator, arriving at the door of a luxurious private ward.
She gently pushed open the door and entered, with Bei Ge following closely behind.
The ward was quiet, with no one to take care of the patient. On the hospital bed lay a middle-aged man in his fifties, Su Mingcheng, the patriarch of the Su family in Jiangcheng. He wore an oxygen mask, his face pale, either asleep or unconscious.
Su Wanrong walked quietly to the bedside and said to Bei Ge, "Bei Ge, I'm counting on you."
Bei Ge nodded lightly, activating his Heavenly Eye, immediately finding the cause of Su Mingcheng's illness. There was a dark aura lingering around his Tianmen acupoint, indicating that he had been afflicted by malevolent energy.
When malevolent energy reaches the Tianmen acupoint, it can drive a person insane.
Bei Ge withdrew his gaze and said to Su Wanrong, "I've found the cause of your father's illness. He has been afflicted by malevolent energy."
Su Wanrong worriedly asked, "Can you cure him?"
"No problem," Bei Ge said. "From the malevolent energy, it seems that the person who harmed your father is the same one behind the layout at the construction site."
"Miss Su, please step aside on the balcony. I will first expel the malevolent energy from your father's body to prevent it from affecting you later."
Without hesitation, Su Wanrong immediately got up and left the ward.
Bei Ge took out a silver needle and inserted it into several key acupoints on Su Mingcheng's body, using the true qi of the Heavenly Dao to create a net that covered the heavens and the earth.
Then, he pointed his finger at Su Mingcheng's forehead, driving the malevolent energy downwards.
The malevolent energy seemed to have a mind of its own. Startled by Bei Ge, it hurriedly rushed towards Su Mingcheng's chest, trying to spread throughout his body.
However, Bei Ge had prepared for this. He pointed at Su Mingcheng's chest and said, "Rise!"
As he slowly lifted his finger, the malevolent energy within Su Mingcheng's body was pulled out and landed in Bei Ge's palm, churning incessantly.
Watching the churning malevolent energy, Bei Ge was slightly surprised and muttered to himself, "This malevolent energy actually has sentience. It seems that the person behind this is not just an ordinary expert in the dark arts."
With that, a golden light suddenly flashed in his palm, and the churning malevolent energy instantly dissipated.
He clapped his hands and walked to the balcony, calling Su Wanrong.
"Miss Su, it's done."
Su Wanrong turned around at his words, her face filled with joy. "Is my father alright?"
"Yes," Bei Ge nodded. "But as for when he will wake up, it's still uncertain for now."
Before he could finish speaking, Su Mingcheng, lying on the hospital bed, suddenly took a deep breath and slowly woke up.
