Chapter 12 : A Strange Situation!
After listening to Su Wanrong's words, Beige couldn't help but feel that something was off.
The consecutive deaths were too bizarre; there must be some dark secret behind them.
"After such incidents, haven't you thought about getting someone to take a look? Like a priest or a Taoist?"
"Why, of course!" Su Wanrong sighed helplessly. "We've invited countless monks and Taoists, but it was all in vain!"
Su Wanrong was truly at her wit's end, otherwise she wouldn't have told Beige, whom she had just met less than two hours ago, about all this. She was grasping at straws.
Beige nodded thoughtfully and said, "If you trust me, you can take me to that villa and I should be able to find out the reason behind these frequent deaths."
"You?" Su Wanrong widened her eyes in surprise. "So, not only can you heal, but you can also catch ghosts?"
Beige smiled and said, "I have some knowledge, just a little."
Su Wanrong looked skeptical, pondered for a moment, and decided to take Beige to the Yinghui Villa first. If he really had the ability, she would take him to meet her father.
If he was just fooling her, then there would be no need to go to the hospital, and she could conveniently avoid her second and third uncles.
"Then let's go to the villa now."
Having made up her mind, Su Wanrong hailed a taxi on the roadside and said to the driver after getting in, "Master, please take us to Yinghui Villa."
The driver glanced at Beige and Su Wanrong in the rearview mirror and asked, "What are you two young kids doing in that haunted place? Isn't it better to find some excitement elsewhere?"
He clearly mistook Beige and Su Wanrong for an adventurous young couple.
Su Wanrong blushed slightly and said, "Master, we're just curious and want to take a look. We won't go inside."
The driver shook his head and started the car, heading towards Yinghui Villa.
The journey was smooth, and after nearly an hour, the taxi finally arrived at the entrance of Yinghui Villa. Beige paid the fare, and the two got out of the car.
Before the driver left, he couldn't help but warn them, "Just take a look, don't go inside. It's haunted in there."
After the taxi left, Beige stood at the entrance of the villa and looked inside.
The once bustling construction site was now eerily quiet, without even a security guard. The atmosphere was somewhat sinister.
A cold wind blew, causing Beige to furrow his brows.
There was definitely something strange about this place!
The wind that blew was unexpectedly cold, carrying a chilling aura that penetrated the skin, unlike the hot wind outside.
Beside him, Su Wanrong couldn't help but shiver and leaned closer to Beige, whispering, "Beige, I suddenly felt a sense of fear and trepidation in my heart just now. Did you feel it too?"
Beige smiled and said, "Don't worry, it's just your imagination. Follow me closely, and we'll go inside."
Beige, having heard her words, smiled and said, "Don't worry, you'll be safe with me. Those things won't be able to harm you."
Su Wanrong was slightly startled and hurriedly asked, "Are you saying that there really are ghosts here?"
"Yes," Beige nodded, leading the way towards the entrance of the building.
"Wait!" Su Wanrong quickly caught up, not wanting to be left behind.
They entered the building, and the light immediately dimmed, creating a gloomy and damp atmosphere. It felt as if a cold wind was blowing on their faces, accompanied by faint whispers.
"Beige," Su Wanrong was extremely nervous at this point. She grabbed Beige's arm and whispered, "Have you finished looking? Let's get out of here quickly, it's too scary."
Beige looked around and said, "Don't worry, just stay calm. I still need to confirm a few things. Extend your right hand."
Su Wanrong didn't understand, but she followed his instructions and extended her fair and delicate right palm, with slender and adorable fingers.
Beige formed a sword with his index and middle fingers and drew a thunder symbol on her palm, saying, "Hold your hand tightly and don't let go. It'll be over soon."
Su Wanrong nodded vigorously.
Strangely enough, as soon as she grasped his hand, she felt a sudden warmth in her palm, which spread throughout her body, making her feel warm all over.
At the same time, the feeling of being watched by something in the dark disappeared instantly.
Beige looked around and memorized the location before leading Su Wanrong away.
