Red could see the flickering of space objects in the sky as day turned to night in After Domini. Kyra arrived after almost an hour of Aamon's treatment, which seemed centuries to Red. The girl even left the infirmary to check on Kyra's arrival. After that, Aamon didn't speak to her at all, not even to make small talk. Red felt ridiculous; why should she agree to Aamon's request? Just because the young man wanted to take her back to the cabin. Red could do it herself, and there was no need to wait until an hour later. If this was a date, Red didn't know if it could be called the worst date.
