For days, Red would wake up briefly and then fall asleep again. She had a fever the first day, but fortunately it only lasted one night. So Kyra felt calmer and confident that Red would survive. Kyra took good care of Red until she started to get better. All Red knew was that while she was awake, Kyra gave her water and food that Red had never tasted before. Food in the form of fruit, not sure where it came from. Kyra only said it was safe for her to eat. Red's stomach reacted a little differently, too, since she had only eaten porridge all her life. But she was getting used to it.
