Chapter 8 Turn the Tables

As she frowned deeply, Rachel leaned against her chair and propped her chin up, amazed by the discovery. My whole body feels super relaxed and nice like never before. Not long after marrying Jackson, she was diagnosed with a gynecological disorder. At that time, the doctor said her condition wasn't severe and that it would heal if Jackson was attentive to it in their daily lives. However, as years went by, Jackson seemed to have grown more disinclined to make love with her. On the other hand, she didn't like making the first move and was also practically a dead fish in bed. Thus, her disorder became increasingly severe. When she went for a check-up a while back, the doctor said her endometritis had reached mid to late stage. If she delayed it any further, she'd have to undergo a hysterectomy. As expected, the issue had been troubling her the last few days. However, after Wilbur's barbaric handling, Rachel felt a wave of unprecedented heat coursing throughout her body. Though that man repulsed her, it was evident that he was much more capable than Jackson. At that, she began blushing as their salacious act replayed in her mind… Outside Neptune International Building, Wilbur had just approached his electric motorcycle when his stomach growled. It seemed that he worked out so much that the bit of energy he got from his breakfast had all been used up. At that, he checked the time on his phone. It was 11.00AM, and it was almost lunchtime. Not too long after he left Neptune International Building that his phone rang, and with that, he hurriedly pulled his phone out of his left pocket while steering his electric motorcycle with his right hand. When he saw that it was a call from Jane, he answered it immediately. "What is it?" "My mom is asking us to visit her place for dinner. She has something to discuss. It's up to you whether you want to go." "I…" However, Jane had already hung up before he could say another word, leading him to fly into a rage. "Damn it! Why did she end the call so soon? Is she scared that Jackson, that son of a b*tch, will go limp?!" After putting his phone away, he continued on his journey in search of a restaurant. All the restaurants surrounding Neptune were of higher class. With his measly wage, his bank account would probably have a problem with him even if this was a once-in-a-blue-moon splurge. Throughout his entire ride, Wilbur had been guessing about the reason behind his in-laws' invitation with a deep frown. Anyhow, it surely wasn't because of something good. Every time he went, they would either have him do them a favor or get him to take money out to settle an issue for that useless b*stard he had to call his brother-in-law. Needless to say, he was reluctant to go. Then again, the tables had turned now. He had risen once again in Labyrinth, and it was high time he got back the half a million Jane apparently lent to her brother. Since he and Jane had fallen out, there was no reason for him to continue being a sucker, after all. At last, after riding around for ten-plus minutes, he finally found a pasta restaurant. However, just as he exited the restaurant after his meal, his phone rang again. This time, it was Trevor. At that, he smirked and answered, "Good afternoon, Mr. Mayhall!" "Come to my office now! I'll be waiting." Trevor's voice sounded frosty on the phone. It was no doubt he was livid about the recording. With that, Wilbur kept his phone away and rushed back to Labyrinth Systems. When he got to Trevor's office, he noticed the door was left ajar just as he was about to knock. Thus, he walked straight in only to find Serena was present as well. After making sure the door was shut, Wilbur approached the two with a smile. "Hey there, Trevor, what do you want to see me for?" At that, Serena pointed at him and snapped, "Don't push your luck, Wilbur! Who are you to address Trevor like that?" Upon hearing this, he walked toward her and gave her plump butt a light slap with his right hand. "Nice a*s you have there. I'm sure most of the credit goes to Trevor."
