Chapter 12

Ariel’s POV I have been in my room all morning. I left my bed, dropping the r18 novels I’ve been reading all day as I headed to the soft cushions of the window seat, staring outside. Now, my head is filled with my last encounter with Kiara the previous night. Her words still echoing in my head. “If you don’t leave, if you come crawling back to Trent, I’ll kill you. And no one will find you. This forest is vast, you see. So easy to dig a grave.” Kiara didn’t sound like she was teasing me. She meant every word. The more I thought about it, the more it bothers me the more. But then, I decided to shake off the feeling. My thought is now replaced with that of Trent. I hadn’t seen him today as I wondered if he was fine. Maybe he is busy.
