Chapter 11 The Discovery

Scarlett's POV: Silence seems to have done quite a lot for many of us. A little earlier, moments were being celebrated- maybe, in the face of the penthouse suite where I was still standing, trying desperately to hold my ground against miserable solitariness-for that couldn't have stood in greater contrast. My gaze was superglued to the city with fear crushing my heart in a vice. Because it had been impossible, given how incredibly many precautions I'd taken and cared so much about detail one moment of lapse was now threatening to un- everything implode.
