Chapter 38 Outing With The King

The king had urged me to get ready and dress warmly, and I had done so, but I still didn't know where he was taking me, and he wouldn't speak to me about it. Some of the guests are still in the palace two days after the ball, while others have already left for their homes and countries. Anastasia just happened to be a part of the group that decided to extend their stay, and though we haven't crossed paths since the ball, knowing she was still around didn't make me feel comfortable.
