Chapter 7

Jack's POV I glanced at the rearview mirror to see the driver staring at me in amazement, I flashed him a smile and he started the car engine, stepping on the accelerator, he drove of heading towards the international golf course. After arriving at my destination, I paid for the fare and walked into the golf course, it was a building place and I noticed I was the smallest person there, so it was easy to notice me as I was stopped by a staff member. “Hey, child, who are you looking for?” I was asked by the staff, she was gently and not rude to me, she seemed like a nice person so I flashed her a cute smile. I blinked my eyes after glancing around the place and my lips parted. “I am looking for my daddy, will you take me to him?” I asked sweetly and I saw the amazement in her eyes, she seemed confused too. “Who is your daddy?” The corner of her brows were raised. “My daddy is Mr. Celeb, he said that he would come play a ball with me today, so can you take me to him?” I asked in confident and loveliness that I believe no one can refuse my request, but the staff was silently staring at me in disbelief. “Mr. Celeb is a VIP customer here and often comes here, so I know Mr. Celeb’s identity better, and he is single, when did he have a child so big as you?” She thought out loud and I could hear it, she then turned to me. “Little guy, is Mr. Celeb really your father?” She still looked at me in disbelief. I was determined to meet him so I nodded. “Yes, don’t I look like my daddy?” I pointed at my face. “I was carve out of the same mold as he is.” I blinked cutely. She looked at me carefully and lets out a sharp breathe and I guessed she saw the similarity. “Okay, I will take you to him then.” She got to her feet and took my hand, as we walk, I saw her glance down at me from time to time still amazed. “Little friend, why are you here alone?” Her question made me glance up at her. “Where is your mother?” She raised the corner of her brows. “My mother has something to do, so I have to come alone to meet my daddy.” I answered her cleverly, but before my voice fell, my eyes darted to the right and there he was, a straight tall figure in the distance, and although I could only see the side of his face, I recognized him instantly as Mr. Celeb. That must be him that must be my daddy. My eyes became filled with hope and I halt. I quickly pointed at the man. “I just say my daddy, I can go by myself.” I told her and left her hand. “Thank you for bringing me here.” I said to her and without hearing what she has to say, I ran over to where I had seen Mr. Celeb for fear of losing him out of my sight. I ran with my little leg, but I overestimated my speed, because by the time I got there, Mr. Celeb had already disappeared, I glanced around and caught a glimpse of him heading to the bathroom, so I quickly followed. In the bathroom, I saw Mr. Celeb peeing, then I stood next to him and looked at his face, admiring all the similarity we both had together, he was just like the photo of him on the internet, he looked very handsome. “Hey, kid, why are you staring at me?” Mr. Celeb asked me and I looked into his pale blue eyes that sank. I furrowed my brows at him with dissatisfaction. “It’s rude to call somebody else a kid, Mr. Celeb!” I wasn’t scared to say this to him. “My name is Jack, and my nickname is also Jack, you can just call me Jack.” I had no idea what I was saying though, and it sound funny to me just as it did to him. Mr. Celeb’s lips were raised slightly and he glanced away from me. “Jack,” He called out softly like he was registering the name in his memory. “That isn’t a bad name.” He looked at me again, this time with a serious expression. “Do you know me?” He asked. “Aren’t you afraid of me?” He quickly added. I was sure few people can stare at him as unscrupulously as I did and beside I was only a child and it could be rare to not get scared or cry by the cold breath he exudes, but why would I be scare, he wouldn’t hurt me. I flashed him a broad smile. “Why should I be afraid of you?” I tilted my head and gave him a charming look. “I think you smile cutely.” I blinked and I saw the puzzled expression on his face. “Cute?” He mumbled and looked at me again with surprise in his eyes. “How old are you, little fellow?” He raised his brows and glanced over my shoulder. “Where are your adults?” He looked at me with rare patience. “I am six years old and I have a beautiful mother at home and I came here to find my daddy.” I told him seriously and his eyes fell on me again and I watched his lips part. “And who is you daddy?” He questioned me after going to the bathroom and over to wash his hand on the sink while staring at me from the mirror. I flashed him my white set of arrange teeth and walked close. “You are my daddy, or don’t you think we look alike, Mr. Celeb?” I looked at him. I watched his eyes dilated and his lips part in shock, I knew this would come as a surprise to him, perhaps he must be wondering when he had a child, he quickly turned and looked at me and I made sure to keep my face steady and let him figure out the ways we look similar. I watched him stare into my eyes after scrutinizing my immature face, but then I saw him shake his head and exhale sharply, then he dried his hand and rubbed his hair before turning to me again. “I am not your daddy, little man, you must be mistaken.” He told me even when he seem to like me, but he had just brushed the words I have told him, but I couldn’t let him wave it off like that. “You are my dad, otherwise, why would we look so alike?” I was certain about it. “How can you explain the similarity between us?” I pointed from me to him. He glanced at me in a hurry and pressed down his lips, his eyes seem like they pity me and couldn’t comfort me, but he spoke as gently as he could. “Jack, there are many people who look alike in this world, but that doesn’t mean anything.” He blinked. I hate the look in his eyes right now, there was pity all over his face, this was the look most kids at my old school give to me when they find out I have no father.
