Chapter 6

Jack’s POV It was late in the hotel room, I lay in my bed and took out my Ipad, I have heard a lot since I arrived here with my mother, a lot from the television, from Aunt Bella and Mr. Philips, they all wanted mom to be with Mr. Roy, but I had other plans. My little finger flexibly typed Mr. Celeb on the screen and shortly, a photo appeared on the screen, and there were all kinds of materials on the internet. Mr. Celeb was handsome in the photo, his brow hair that were curled backwards, his pale blue eyes, his angular facial features revealed an imperial temperament, and the most important thing was that we were very similar, especially our eyes, our typical pale blue eyes. A smile spread through my lips and eyes and I couldn’t resist saying the words out. “There is no doubt, this is my daddy.” I grinned and I quickly get out of bed and put on my pajamas over me, grabbing my Ipad, I rushed out of the room to go show Katherine the picture again. I the next room, I didn’t knock due to my excitement, but when I went into the room, I heard a burst of intermittent cry, it was dark and I couldn’t see who it was from, so I struggled to reach for the light, and when I turned it on, I discovered it was my mother curled up on the edge of the bed crying and looking sad. “Mom.” My eyes became wet as this was a sad thing to see, I hated it when I saw my mother crying, it makes me sad. She turned in my direction when the light flickered on. “Jack, why are you still awake?” She questioned quickly wiping her tears, I was sure she hoped I didn’t see her like this, but I already did. “Katherine, why are you crying?” I usually call her Katherine, because it seems to make us closer, like best friends. “Did someone bully you?” I stepped forward and embraced her after putting the Ipad on the bed, seeing my mom cry was very distressing, I often see her cry secretly before, but I didn’t expect to walk into her today. She slowly pulled me at arm’s length and kissed my little face. “No, no one is bullying me, I am just too happy to return home today, mommy doesn’t cry.” She tried to force a smile. Although she tried to hide her tears with a fake smile, I could see it didn’t reach her eyes and she was obviously lying to me. How can I believe you when you are obviously lying to me, mom?” I took a deep breath and looked away from her face, grabbing my Ipad, I showed her the picture of Celeb and looked a her seriously. “Katherine, I think you just lack a husband,” She looked at me with wide eyes. “Do you think this Mr. Celeb is very good?” I asked but she didn’t respond since she was obviously surprised at my question. “I will let him be my daddy and your husband, Mr. Roy used to protect us in America, but now we are so far away from Mr. Roy, what if someone bullies you?” I asked her and she was silent, I knew she as in a distress situation with all my words, but I really didn’t want her to be lonely anymore. I slowly saw a real smile spread through her lips and I wondered why she was smiling. “Jack, if someone bullies me, I have you, don’ t I?” She asked as she touched my face. “I believe you will protect me.” I let out a sharp sigh. “Mom, is that what you have to say?” I frowned at her. “I am too young and I can’t beat up the bad guys for you.” He looked into her eyes. “It’s different if you have daddy.” I glanced down at Mr. Celeb’s picture. “He can help you beat the bad guys, and I can do a good job of backing you up in my life.” I flashed her a smile feeling clever. “With the both of us here to protect you, you can be a queen! And no one will dare touch you even if you walk sideways on the road in the future.” Katherine chuckled loudly, the tears in her eyes all gone and I was relieved to see this. “I am not a crab to keep walking sideways.” He ruffled my hair with her hand. “Now go to bed, it’s late.” She told me and I got to my feet and looked at her face. “Mom, please don’t cry anymore.” I don’t trust her, she might send me off and start crying again which would be very sad. “Don’t worry, I won’t cry anymore.” She nodded affirmatively and I chose to believe her words and returned to my room, it seem necessary to get daddy back quickly, that way Katherine would no longer be sad anymore. I got up early the next day and prepared breakfast for me and Katherine hoping to put a smile on her face when she wakes up and it did. “Son, what delicious food have you prepared?” I heard her voice and turned around to see her lean over the door staring at my meal with glint in her eyes. “It’s what you like anyway.” I glanced at the food and then at her. “Brush your teeth and watch your face quickly.” I told her and turned to set more breakfast on the table. “Okay, son.” She turned and left to do what I had told her to do, I knew she would be happy, she had been in the hospital for a few year after giving birth to me and seeing how ill she had been, I became very precocious and learn to do a lot to help her out, I didn’t wait for her to take care of me, rather I took care of her. After eating breakfast, I turned to Katherine. “Mom, what are you doing today?” I needed to know what her plans for the day would be like since I didn’t want to be stuck inside this hotel room for the whole day. “I have something to do, might perhaps meet with a friend, I may not come back for lunch, but I will be back for lunch.” I smiled because I had other plans if she was gone. “Just take care of yourself.” She told me and I nodded in response with a smile. “Rest assured, Katherine, I will be fine.” I raised an imperceptible smile at the corner of my lips. As soon as Katherine went out after breakfast, I rushed to the mirror in my room and gazed at my image. “I look so handsome.” I said with a proud face and brushed my hair backwards to look just like Mr. Celeb’s hair. I poked the mirror with my little finger with glee. “Daddy, you are waiting for me right?” I winked at my image. “Your handsome son is coming to you.” With that I carried my bag and took my Ipad, skipping out of the door, I stopped a taxi. “Mr. Driver, I am going to the international golf course, thank you.” I informed the driver as I entered into the taxi and leaned back on the seat kicking my legs, I glanced out of the window, it was easy to know Mr. Celeb’s itinerary as I was an absolute master of computer experts, and all the goals were clear and I had to go straight to the golf course.
