The car ride remained quiet as the engine produced soft sounds while occasional vehicles passed by. Isabella stared through the window at the fast-moving city views before her thoughts took her elsewhere. Vincent spent his time looking back and forth between the road and his wife to determine her emotional state. He looked at her and saw that her face revealed a detached state while her eyes remained unfocused. He pondered about her mental state to determine whether she remained upset from their encounter with Megan. The stare Vincent directed at her face went unnoticed by Isabella as she remained absorbed in her thoughts.
