Chapter 13 Who Said I Was a Level 1 Martial Artist
Reggie quickly typed a response on his phone.
"No problem, I'll transfer the money to you right now."
Meanwhile, in Ivana's dormitory, Jessica Stinson looked at Reggie's reply on her phone, a sly smile curling at the corners of her lips.
She sent him her bank account details, and not long after, a notification confirmed that two million had been transferred to her account.
Without hesitation, she deleted the message about the transfer, erasing any trace of it. Then, Jessica sat casually on Ivana's bed, grinning. "Ivana, how about we go out for dinner tonight?"
"Tonight? But I was planning to stay in and study."
Ivana was always gentle and diligent. While her classmates often focused on dating or socializing, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her studies.
"Oh, come on, you can study anytime. You can't study all the time—it'll drive you crazy. Take a break tonight; it won't take long."
"But ... " Ivana hesitated. Jessica saw her hesitation and quickly pressed on, "Think of it as a reward for me helping you fend off all those suitors for so long. I've done so much for you, the least you can do is have dinner with me."
Ivana sighed softly. "Fine, since you put it that way, I'll go with you tonight."
"Great!" Jessica cheered, holding Ivana's hand warmly. "You're the best!"
...
Meanwhile, Sherman left the school and immediately sensed that someone was following him.
He did not bother to react; they were just a few small-timers. As long as they did not provoke him, he had no interest in dealing with them.
He walked calmly to the bus stop, intending to head to the Zimmerman residence.
Tobias and his group followed at a distance, snickering as they watched him.
"This stupid kid thinks he's invincible just because he knows some martial arts," one of them mocked.
"Provoking Reggie means he's signing his own death sentence," another sneered.
"Look! Is that One-eyed Wolf?"
Sherman stood quietly at the bus stop, waiting for the bus.
Suddenly, he turned his head, sensing a menacing presence. Approaching him was a man with a hideous scar and an intense, bloodthirsty aura.
One look at the man was enough for Sherman to tell—this was no ordinary thug. This was someone with blood on his hands, someone dangerous.
Sherman glanced at the man, then turned his gaze away as if losing interest.
For ordinary people, someone like One-eyed Wolf might seem as terrifying as a tiger. Yet, to Sherman, he was nothing more than a minor nuisance.
If he wanted, Sherman could take down a whole group of men like him with just a single slap.
The man approached, his expression twisted into a cruel grin. "You're Sherman?"
Sherman nodded calmly. "That's me. What do you want?"
"Someone sent me to deal with you," One-eyed Wolf said, his grin widening. "Come quietly, and you won't have to be humiliated here in public."
Sherman frowned slightly, already guessing who might be behind this. "Is it that guy from earlier? Reggie? Or Tobias?"
"Not important."
Sherman clasped his hands behind his back, his tone indifferent. "Okay then, lead the way."
He figured it would be better to resolve this nuisance early rather than let it drag on like an annoying fly buzzing around him.
One-eyed Wolf raised an eyebrow, surprised by Sherman's composure. "You've got guts, I'll give you that. Don't worry, I'll go easy on you later."
Sherman said nothing, his expression calm and unreadable.
He followed One-eyed Wolf to a more secluded area, with Tobias and his group trailing behind, laughing loudly.
"Sherman, you're done for this time!"
"After One-Eyed Wolf finishes with you, I'll personally humiliate you!"
"You should just beg for mercy. Maybe we'll let you go with just a few broken bones!"
...
Sherman shook his head slightly, amused by their ignorance.
They saw One-eyed Wolf as a fearsome predator, but they failed to realize they were facing a young dragon who had not yet revealed his power.
One-eyed Wolf cracked his neck and flexed his fingers, his grin turning even more menacing. "Kid, I hear you're a Level 1 martial artist. Let's see how long you can last against me—Bloodthirsty Wolf Claw!"
One-eyed Wolf's fingers curved like claws, his aura radiating an intense, bloodthirsty energy. He charged at Sherman with shocking speed, his clawed hand slashing forward like a deadly weapon.
Tobias and his followers were both awed and exhilarated, their faces lighting up with excitement as they cheered One-eyed Wolf.
"What a terrifying move!"
"It's like watching a wild wolf leaping out of the mountains and forests!"
"That kid is doomed!"
...
One-eyed Wolf's eyes glinted with a bloodthirsty light.
He was brimming with confidence in his skills, knowing that countless opponents had fallen under his claws.
His ruthless attacks had earned him both fear and a notorious reputation.
Yet, to Sherman, his moves were laughably slow.
Effortlessly dodging One-eyed Wolf's supposedly fatal blow, Sherman barely moved as the claws swiped past him.
Hiss!
His claws struck the wall behind Sherman, ripping a chunk clean off.
One-eyed Wolf narrowed his eyes in disbelief. "Not bad! No wonder you're so arrogant!"
With a snarl, he suddenly accelerated, his attacks forming shadows that seemed to close in from all angles, targeting Sherman's face.
Tobias and his group held their breath, their eyes fixed on the battle, awestruck by the sheer power on display.
However, no matter how fast or unpredictable One-eye Wolf's strikes were, not a single attack touched Sherman.
After a flurry of attacks at full intensity, One-eyed Wolf was visibly fatigued, panting heavily. His bloodshot eyes fixed on Sherman, who had not even broken a sweat.
"Who are you? There's no way you're just a Level 1 martial artist!" One-eyed Wolf growled, his voice tinged with fear.
Sherman shook his head dismissively, his expression growing bored. "Who said I was a Level 1 martial artist?"
Without warning, Sherman moved. His speed was blinding, an overwhelming burst of power that left One-eyed Wolf stunned.
Before he could react, his entire body was sent flying, slamming hard into a wall.
The impact caused the wall to cave in.
One-eyed Wolf spat out blood, his entire body wracked with pain, and his vision blurred as darkness crept in.
Sherman approached him calmly. "You seem to have a habit of harming others.
"People like you don't deserve the title of a martial artist. Today, I'll act on behalf of justice and sever your martial arts foundation. From now on, you'll live as an ordinary man."
With that, Sherman delivered a precise kick to his energy center.
"No!"
One-eyed Wolf let out a desperate scream, his bloodshot eyes glaring at Sherman with unrelenting hatred. "You destroyed my energy center! I'll fight you to the end!"
He struggled to get up, but the moment he tried to exert himself, his vision darkened, and he collapsed unconscious.
Sherman did not spare him another glance.
He turned and walked away, heading for the exit.
Meanwhile, Tobias and his crew stood frozen in disbelief.
As Sherman approached, their fear overtook them, prompting each of them to make desperate and exaggerated movements.
