"Julia," Mom continued, "go ahead and sit down on that end of the towel, facing me," Mom instructed my sister, motioning with her hand to the end of the towel that was closer to Julia. "Sit down just like me," Mom said, settling down into a seated position at one end of the long towel, spreading her legs open evenly at about a 90 degree angle.
