Chapter 53 The Visit To The Doctor

When we arrived at the restaurant, we both got out of the car, then approached the restaurant door. Mark opened it and we both went in, my husband placing his hand on the small of my back as we made our way to a table. We sat down, and shortly after, one of the waiters approached our table. Mark ordered a bottle of wine, looking at me strangely when I said I didn't want wine and preferred a soft drink instead. He didn't say anything. When the waiter brought the wine and the soft drink, Mark ordered the menu for both of us, then took my hand when the waiter walked away. "Can I know what you talked about with Alice? You left her office looking very serious after talking to her," I said, not breaking our gaze.
