Karen ran through the forlorn fields, her feet pounding against the earth as she sought refuge from the turmoil that churned within her. Ignoring the strain in her muscles and the ache in her heart, she pushed forward until exhaustion forced her to collapse onto the ground. Misery washed down her pallid face which was now red from her prolonged sobbing. She could neither accept the embarrassment from Damion nor the betrayal from Charlotte, her elder sister. After what felt like an eternity of aimless wandering, Karen finally reached her sanctuary, a secluded spot where she collapsed in exhaustion. The turmoil in her gut twisted and turned, a physical manifestation of the emotional turmoil raging within her. The overwhelming urge to scream and release the pent-up pain grew stronger with each passing moment. Unable to contain it any longer, she let out a guttural cry of despair that echoed into the emptiness around her, the weight of the lies piercing her already sorrowful heart like a thousand needles. The fabric of her clothes tore apart as her muscles swelled, her frame expanding and elongating. The once gentle green of her eyes darkened to a fierce emerald hue, and her teeth sharpened into deadly canines. Seizing the opportunity, she seized the rogue's jaw with her powerful claws and snagged it open with a savage snarl. Blood sprayed in a crimson arc as the rogue let out a final, guttural cry before it finally went silent. After confirming the threat was gone, Karen's body shifted back to its human form, the moonlight casting a haunting glow on her naked figure. Without sparing a second glance at the lifeless villain, she sprinted back to her desolate cabin, the thudding of her heart drowning out the night's silence. Aiming to avoid any encounter with her sister Charlotte, who had betrayed her, and her parents, she made her way back to the desolate cabin. From afar, the moonlight revealed the silhouette of her wooden cabin, a beacon signaling her return to solitude. When she reached, Karen forcefully kicked open the door, looking tired and exhausted.The room was as she left it - shrouded in darkness, devoid of life, save for the solitary bunk tucked away in the shadowed corner.
