As John closed the door behind him, he attempted to digest everything that had transpired. He headed towards the study, hoping that keeping himself occupied would help banish the image of the new maid's cleavage from his mind. Despite having a book spread open before him, John found his mind incessantly wandering back to Maria. Frustrated, he closed the book with a sigh, his fingers tightening around its edges. He pressed his palms against his temples, feeling the tension building within him. With a heavy sigh, he rose from his seat and left the study room, unable to shake off the persistent thoughts of Maria. He made his way to the door, grabbed his coat, and went out of the house to take a stroll.
