Chapter 8 Give Me The Royal Stamp

I woke up in the morning with swollen eyes, of course I had cried the whole night so my eyes had to be swollen. I can’t even remember how I managed to fall asleep. I stood up and the memories of the previous night flashed through my mind. I would have burst into tears but I guess there was no tear left to be shed. I tried to scream out to that psycho to let me out but even my voice had faded due to all the screaming from last night. I just pushed the cell bars with the little strength I had left. I doubted that my actions would make any difference but nevertheless I still continued. Few minutes later, I could hear footsteps coming my way and I paused to know who it was. The dungeon gate rolled up and a guard walked in. I doubted that he was from our kingdom, he smelled and looked like a rogue. I guess he was from another pack, probably Damon’s pack. Those bloody wolves of the Bleeding Moon Pack, they dared to set their soiled foot on our clean grounds. Such disrespect would not be accepted in Dazam. I could still save this kingdom and send this ba$tards back to their bloody pack as long as I find the royal stamp before Damon, but how do I even get out of here. The royal stamp was the sign of authority, if Damon is able to find it, then he can rewrite the royal proclamations, he would automatically become the legal King of Dazam and other packs in the kingdom would have to obey him. But if I find it first, then the opposite would happen. I would take control of the royal army and throw these rogues out of here. Damon might be a Tyran wolf which makes him a powerful being, but the disadvantage of being a Tyran wolf is that they cant shift in the daytime, they are equal to average werewolves or even weaker in the daytime. The man walked up to me with a look of hatred in his eyes, he smiled evilly at me like he was enjoying seeing me in there. “Look who it is, the princess of Dazam,” he said in a sarcastic tone and sneered in mockery. I clenched my fist, hoping that he would come closer so I could do something that would teach him not to mess with a Dazam again. As if he knew my plans, he stood a little step away from my reach. “Who are you and what do you want?” I asked in a cold voice, anger flaring in my eyes. He chuckled. “My identity doesn’t matter, what matters is that I have orders to drag you to the new ruler of Dazam, King Damon, the first of his name and the last of his kind,” he said, giving so much value to that ba$tard. “Fool, he cannot be the king until he gets hold of the royal stamp,” I blurted and scoffed. The man chuckled again, that chuckle was very annoying to me. If I could do it, then I would have choked him in his laughter. “And what makes you think that he hasn’t found it yet?” He asked. I ignored his words and turned my back to him. “Send a message to your so-called paper king, tell him that…” “There will be no need for that, you can tell him yourself.” The guard said and started to unlock my cell. “Wait, what is happening?” “The Alpha has sent for you, so come with me immediately.” He instructed and dragged me out of the cell. I resisted for a while but gave up and walked alongside, with him pushing me ahead. I thought of running away but it was useless, I would not even make it out of the castle. He led me to the huge room in the king’s chambers, with his right hand gripped to my left arm. That used to be my father’s room, his picture had been taken down but some of his properties were still there. “My king, I have brought the prisoner as you requested.” The man said. I looked around but there was no sight of Damon, so who was the stupid guard talking to? Then I heard footsteps coming from the washroom and a few seconds later, he walked out in a robe. I guessed he had just had a bath as his long black raven hair was dripping wet. He looked at me, then over to the guard that had brought me. “Leave us,” he instructed. The guard nodded, then let go of me roughly that I almost fell. He scoffed and turned around to leave. “Stop!” I heard Damon order and the guard paused, then turned back to him. My heart was beating abnormally, was he going to ask his guard to punish me again? He had promised to torture and punish me for as long as I live, was that going to happen now? He walked towards me and my body started to shake in fear, I was terrified of the monster before me. He was so good looking but under that look was a hideous monster, an evil that should never be seen on the face of earth. He got to me and stopped, but he did not turn in my direction, I was standing by his left. After a few seconds, he walked past and I was relieved for the moment. He got to the guard and the next thing I heard was the thunderous sound of a mighty slap. I looked behind me and found the guard on the floor, Damon had sent him down with one mighty slap. “Listen very carefully, you are not allowed to ever raise your hand to her again without my permission, she is my captive and I say when to hit her, is that clear?” he yelled. The guard stood up immediately, shivering in fear. “Yes Alpha, I won't try it again.” He muttered. I was surprised, so he had hit his guard just because the fool pushed me roughly? What am I supposed to make out of that? He still mentioned that I was his captive anyway so I shouldn’t get so excited. “Good, now get back to your post,” he instructed and the guard ran off. He sighed and turned back to me. Once again, my heart started racing. He walked around me in circles while my eyes followed him from the spot I stood. “Don’t think you are special or something, that is how I would have reacted if it was someone else in your place,” he said and I scoffed. “What do you want from me?” I asked, perhaps for the umpteenth time. He chuckled. “What do I want from you? Hahaha, I don’t think you have anything to offer,” he mocked. “Then why have you called me here? You have already turned me into a prisoner in my own father’s castle, is that not enough? What more do you want from me?” I asked. I was calm this time, having realized that screaming and yelling would not be of any help to me. “Good question, I called you here because I decided to show you some mercy. You see, after your parents killed my parents, I ran to the Bleeding Moon Pack where their Alpha took me in as his servant. I was forced to do difficult tasks in order to have food and a place to sleep. My life of luxury had been taken away and I was left to suffer. But then luckily for me, I found favor in the Luna’s eyes. Since she was barren, she convinced her mate to adopt me. At first, the Alpha refused, he said only a pureblood heir could take over the Alpha position after him, but soon I also won his heart. The former Alpha of the Bleeding Moon Pack came to love me and accepted me as his son; that was how I became the next Alpha after his death. The reason why I am telling you this story is not for you to feel sympathetic or sorry for what your parents had done, I just want to let you know that you will face the same fate as I did.” “What do you mean?” I queried. As much as I wanted to feel sorry for him, I could never, considering what he had done to me and my parents. He had gone too far in his quest for revenge and it is not even like my parents were in the wrong in the beginning. The Tyran wolf were known for their evil deeds, they had intimidated and maltreated the people of our kingdom until my dad rose to wipe them off, so I would never blame him for his actions; if I was in his place, I would do the very same thing, and I would have made sure not to leave anyone alive. “What I am trying to make you understand is that, you will now become my slave just as I was once a slave. You will have to serve me as my personal slave; you belong to me and would only answer to me. If I find you worthy to live, then I might spare your life, I might release you and let you go, but until then you are my property.” He stated in a hoarse voice. I disliked the way he calls me his property. I don’t belong to him or anyone; he makes it sound like I am some random object with no value. “What if I say no? That I would not be your slave, what are you going to do?” I asked in a cold voice. “I am sure you don’t want to do that Princess, you better don’t think of it or I would give you a punishment worse than death,” he replied with a look to kill. I could see from his eyes that he meant every word he said. “Bastard,” I muttered silently. “I heard that, but I would spare you this time,” he said with a sarcastic smile. “Bastard,” I muttered again, this time more loudly. Of course I was trying to piss him off but what would I even gain from that? He grabbed me by the hair and pulled me closer to him. The scent of his bath ointments filled my nose and my breathing hitched. I could see his hairy chest from the open side of the bathrobe and that made my gulp. “Listen Princess, if you don’t want to get hurt then I suggest you stay in your limits, better don’t tempt me,” he said in a husky voice that made me shiver, and then he let go of my hair. Surprisingly I didn’t scream or whimper in pain this time, it looks like I am already getting used to this harsh and inhuman treatment. To be continued!!
