Gabriella paced around in the room, she felt her heart pounding in her chest, it felt like she couldn't breathe. She ran her fingers through her hair nervously, she could only pray inwardly that Enzo would come out victorious in the hunting game and not Matteo. Even Lombardi would prefer Enzo to Matteo in this situation. The sound of the door opening startled Gabriella and she feared Matteo was back already. She hurriedly sat down back on the floor, cowering in the corner, and remained silent but Matteo didn't step in, it was another man entirely, one that Gabriella didn't recognize.
