Chapter 2 Fake Jayden Lawford
Carol and Bianca, both slightly intoxicated, returned to the Lawfords' residence together.
As they were led upstairs, Bianca opened the door to a room and said, "Carol, tonight, you can sleep here. This room is mine..."
In a daze, Carol was pushed into the room.
The room was completely dark. Carol squinted her eyes and felt her way to the edge of the bed, collapsing onto it.
Half an hour later, the door to the room opened.
Snap! A hand with distinct joints pressed the light switch. Jayden, with an indifferent expression, walked in. He took off his suit and tossed it on the bed, covering a small bulge.
After removing his tie, he entered the bathroom. Soon, the sound of a trickling shower became audible.
On the bed, Carol suddenly wriggled, emerged from under the blanket, and mumbled, "I need to go to the bathroom..."
After struggling for a while, she rubbed her eyes, groped her way down from the bed, and stumbled until she found the bathroom. Without hesitation, she pushed the door open.
The bathroom was filled with steam. The towering figure of a man stood under the shower, water cascading down his well-built physique. His attractive abdominal muscles and V-shaped lines were tantalizingly visible.
Carol, acting as if no one else was around, opened the door. The mist before her dispersed, revealing a robust figure devoid of clothing.
The sudden shock sobered her up, and her pupils contracted intensely.
She quickly stepped backward, but her feet slipped, causing her to lurch forward. In a panic, she instinctively grabbed onto something.
For a moment, two voices sounded simultaneously.
"Ugh." A muffled groan from the man.
"Ah... " Carol screamed in pain as she fell.
Jayden tensed all over, his handsome face showing a sudden alertness. A strange woman suddenly appeared in his room and invaded his personal space!
He took a deep breath to ease his discomfort, his cold gaze glaring at Carol. His voice was tinged with gritted teeth as he said, "Get out!"
Carol, scratched by the fallen object, winced in pain. Her face contorted with discomfort as she exclaimed, "Ouch, it hurts!"
Jayden quickly grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist. He looked down at her from a higher vantage point and said coldly, "Get up."
While hearing the man's deep voice, Carol's mind froze for a few seconds.
How could there be a man?
She lifted her head to look at him.
The man had a well-built physique, and the towel barely covered his important parts. Above that was a clearly defined abdominal area, with the V-lines extending under the towel, showcasing a perfect golden ratio comparable to a model's. It was a sight that could make anyone's nosebleed.
Faced with the sudden appearance of the unfamiliar naked man, even though his physique was top-notch and perfect, Carol felt like her ability to think had completely shut down.
She asked with a trembling voice, "Who... who are you? Why are you here?"
The man standing before her seemed familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere.
Jayden's eyes held a trace of disdain, and he parted his thin lips slightly. "This is my room. Why do you think I'm here?"
At this moment, Carol's brain started functioning again.
She remembered the events leading up to this and recalled who this person was!
She had received a mural order for a villa in Nexoria. She came from Dystron to surprise David, only to catch him in bed with her best friend. Later, she went out for a drink with Bianca to ease her frustration, and Bianca arranged the fake marriage certificate for her.
While recalling the photo on the marriage certificate, Carol's heart skipped a beat.
He... he... he is...
Carol asked tentatively, "Are you the Lawfords' driver, the fake Jayden?"
The man's eyebrows furrowed slightly, and he instantly understood the woman's identity.
Bianca had taken the liberty of acting as the new bride for the marriage.
Not only did Bianca marry on his behalf, but she also brought this woman and shoved her into his room. Truly audacious!
Jayden remained silent, leading Carol to think that he had tacitly agreed.
Sure enough, the Lawfords were incredibly wealthy. Even the driver's room was so luxurious.
Jayden lowered his gaze and looked at the wound on Carol's leg, which was still bleeding. He spoke softly, "Let me attend to your wound."
At this moment, Carol belatedly felt the pain. She lowered her head and saw a deep wound at the root of her thigh, which was continuously bleeding.
She scrambled to get up in a hurry, but to her surprise, her thigh stung. She didn't manage to stand steadily and swayed to the side.
In her panic, Carol could only grab onto things around her to steady herself, inadvertently tearing down the last barrier of Jayden.
"No!"
Her gaze accidentally caught a glimpse of the obscured figure, causing Carol's face to turn as red as if it could drip water. She averted her eyes, unsure where to place them.
Goodness! She wished she could live on a different planet right now.
