Chapter 3 Aunt Feng
“What are you doing here, punk?” the man shouted while glaring cautiously at Qin Jun.
However, Qin Jun ignored his question and stared at the woman in the cage, who looked like a beggar, as he asked, “Who are you? Why did you call me Young Master?”
The long-haired woman's eyes were filled with excitement as she looked up at Qin Jun, her face all pale. That was when Qin Jun realized she was a middle-aged woman.
An adult's appearance wouldn't change much, even if ten years had passed. One look at her face, Qin Jun could tell that the woman in front of him was Aunt Feng, his nanny from before.
“Aunt Feng? Is that you, Aunt Feng?”
Tears of joy flowed down Feng Juan's filthy face the moment she heard that.
“Young Master... It's really you! You're alive... Thank goodness!”
Aunt Feng was just a nanny, but she had raised Qin Jun since he was a young boy, so the woman was like a second mother to him. Qin Jun was filled with rage upon seeing how she was being treated.
He then glared coldly at the man with the dogs and asked, “Why did you lock her up here?”
The man was not expecting Qin Jun to know the woman in the cage.
“Why? Because I felt like it! Since you two know each other, you can join her in this cage and keep her company!” the man replied as he let go of the dogs' chains, prompting them to lunge straight at Qin Jun.
As the dogs charged toward them, Qin Jun let out a cold snort. With a flick of his wrist, three silver needles came flying out at the dogs!
Zap!
In a blink of an eye, the dogs that had been charging at them dropped their heads halfway as they foamed at the mouth.
All three dogs had a needle sticking out their necks - all on the very same spot.
The man went wide-eyed with shock when he saw that. It happened so fast that he couldn't even see the silver needles. All he saw was the dogs collapsing after Qin Jun waved his hand in their direction.
The man was so scared that he dropped his baseball bat when Qin Jun turned to look at him.
“Who... Who are you?”
“My name is Qin Jun,” Qin Jun replied with an icy-cold look on his face.
The man froze for a few seconds before gasping in shock as he recalled the name.
“It's you! You're the b*stard from the Qin family that got away!”
“B*stard, huh? I'm surprised you even have the audacity to say that!” Qin Jun replied with a sneer. He then picked up a bone from the floor as he continued coldly, “You like dogs, right?”
The man went pale as Qin Jun slowly approached him with the baseball bat in hand.
“W-What are you doing? I'm from the Tang family! Don't you dare do anything to me!”
The look on Qin Jun's face grew increasingly gloomy when he heard the man mention the Tang family.
Qin Jun's mother was the eldest daughter of the Tang family. Both the Tang and Qin families shared a marital connection after Qin Jun's mother married his father.
The union of Qin Jun's mother and father not only symbolized the bond between the Qin and Tang families but also became a catalyst for the Tang family's ascension. Leveraging the success and influence of the Qin family, the Tang family elevated itself to the status of a second-grade family within the city's hierarchy.
However, the Tang family turned out to be the first to turn against the Qin family when tragedy struck.
In order to cut ties with the Qin family, the Tang family not only refused to help the Qin family out, but also helped annihilate the Qin family. They even went as far as going after Feng Juan, causing her to constantly hide from them over the years.
Back then, the Tang family went bankrupt several times and was harassed by loan sharks. Had the Qin family not helped them out, the loan sharks would have slaughtered them all.
Unfortunately, the Qin family's kindness toward them was not reciprocated. The Tang family ended up becoming the one that wanted the Qin family dead the most.
Qin Jun's uncle, Tang Tianhao, had gone bankrupt due to gambling a little over ten years ago.
Qin Jun's father brought Qin Jun with him as he went to the casino to bail Tang Tianhao out.
It wouldn't be an understatement to say that the Tang family's current success and achievements were all thanks to the Qin family.
As if refusing to help the Qin family out during their time of crisis wasn't bad enough, they went as far as betraying the Qin family and kicking them when they were down all for the sake of protecting themselves and rising to success.
They were so inhumane that they even targeted the Qin family's maid, wanting to torture her to death.
“I don't care which family you're from. I won't spare you no matter what!” Qin Jun said as he swung the bat with all his might.
Crack!
The bat hit the man on the arm, instantly contorting it at an unnatural angle.
“Argh!” the man screamed in agonizing pain.
His pale face was drenched in cold sweat as he clutched his arm and rolled around on the ground.
“I hope you're enjoying it because we're just getting started!” Qin Jun asked with a sneer.
Qin Jun then stepped on the man's face as he swung the bat at his other arm mercilessly.
Crack!
The man let out yet another bloodcurdling scream in pain.
“H-How dare you hit me? You're done for! Old Mr. Tang will kill you!”
Being a member of the Tang family, that man had never suffered such humiliation his entire life.
How dare this runaway b*stard hit me? He must have a death wish or something!
“Are you referring to Tang Tianhao? Do you really think he can help you? Had my family not saved him back then, Tang Tianhao would have died at the casino long ago!” Qin Jun retorted with a sneer before swinging the bat at the man's leg.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Qin Jun didn't stop hitting the man until he had shattered every major bone and joint in the man's body, including his femurs, shins, pelvis, and spine.
Qin Jun walked into the cage and brought Aunt Feng outside.
Having endured such torture for so long, Feng Juan had become extremely weak. In addition, she had also been infected with rabies after being bitten by the dogs. If Qin Jun hadn't shown up on time, she would have died in a few days.
Tears flooded Feng Juan's face as she looked at Qin Jun.
“Young Master, as long as you're safe, then I'm happy. I'm so glad you're alive. If you're done looking around here, hurry up and leave!”
Qin Jun's eyes darkened as he held Aunt Feng.
“Now that I've returned, I have no intention of leaving.”
