Elena's Pov: I couldn't even believe that I was doing this when the news was all over the place that Leo should be getting married. I wanted to ask him questions about it, to see if he was going to agree to the marriage arrangements. I didn't want him to. When I glanced at Kyle, his eyes were filled with slight pain and I knew he wasn't okay with the fact that I chose Leo over him. But if it was because of his marriage that Kyle thought that I'd pull away, he got it wrong. I felt bad for refusing Kyle's offer, but I felt so much safer with Leo. There was a connection between the both of us, a bond. He wasn't as muscular as Kyle, but his broad shoulders and very good stature were still top-tier. Brianne had always teased me about him, and the thought made me chuckle. I was an idiot to have gone for Aiden because he was the school's jock, an expert on the field. But at the end of it all, he was just a jerk.
