Chapter four Right before me was the man of my dreams, the handsome stranger that took my breath away, the man l have been fantasizing about spending the rest of my life with, l couldn't believe my eyes, l gazed at him without blinking an eyelid "It's the universe trying to bring us together,"l said inwardly, smiling at him, the smile on my face started to fade away when he ignored me completely, and his guards led him to his seat, l lowered my head down in disbelief, l didn't want to think anything negative, l was happy seeing him and I want things to remain like that "Jason, this is Maya"your bride-to-be, his mother said breaking the awkward moment between us "We need to talk Mom," he said as he stood up to leave with his guards, he stormed out of the dining table, and the mother followed him, he walked straight to his room "I'm not getting married to that bitch" he sneered "You either marry Maya or lose the chances of taking over your father's empire"his mother replied coldly, he raised an eyebrow at his mom and saw she was dead serious, he stormed out of the room, came downstairs, and grabbed me by my hands "You are hurting me "l winched in pain, and he dragged me to the sitting room, he flinched my hands and looked at me like a wounded lion "I'm not getting married to you bitch" Pick your bag and leave this house he said sternly "I do not love you and l don't want to be married to you"he continued, if you want to go ahead with the plans of getting me married to you, then watch me make this marriage a living hell for you I felt my heart being ripped apart by his words, l closed my eyes and turned my back on him so he won't see my tears and I whispered "Jason, do you think before you talk? you hurt people with your words without thinking l replied, l was trembling while speaking but l felt like he was intimidating me so l needed to defend myself "Go home and think about it, "you might be making the biggest mistake of your life, he added before walking out on me. I stormed out of the house without letting his parents know l was leaving, l signaled to the driver to know that l was ready to go, and we drove out of Fosters mansion, l wiped my tears leaving no drop, l didn't want the driver or anyone else to know that I was in tears. Rejection has always been my biggest fear, l have never been rejected by a man before, and l always do the rejecting, l could have given up at this point but l won't, for some reason, I felt that he will learn to love me with time As soon as we got home, l hurried to my room, l had my bath, and sat on my bed with a lot of thoughts going through my head, l remembered his cute charming eyes when he came to the dining, I giggled and made to lie down when l suddenly heard a knock on my door "Come in,"l said without hesitation knowing that it was my father, probably coming to find out how my first visit to the Fosters went. he sat very close to me, listening as l went on and on about how l was welcomed well, l hid the awful things, Jason said to me, not like it was going to change anything though I have made up my mind to visit him tomorrow and let him know of my final decision, the thought of being Jason's wife engulfed me and l slept off I dressed up the next day, ready to see my prince charming, l made sure I was looking all charming and gorgeous, l arrived at his place, came in and one of their servants directed me to his room…l stood in front of the door and took a deep breath, l knocked without getting any response, l knocked again and when l held the door handle l found out it was open, l gently opened the door only to see the most shocking scene of my life Right before me Jason was making out with a lady, he was busy thrusting in and out that he didn't notice someone was in the room, l felt a sharp pain in my heart, l couldn't imagine Jason in the grasp of another woman and now is happening right in front of me "Jason "l screamed The lady tried to split up with him immediately but Jadon held her back with no remorse "Get ready for our wedding, "l said and stormed out of the room.
