Chapter 5 Stranger

Alisha’s POV This morning, I received a piece of good news from Nova, “Alisha, I have sent your demo to a familiar music director, and he is interested in your work and invited us to talk the details today!” “That’s terrific! Nova, thank you so much!” I hugged Nova in glee. I never expected that my work could be recognized by other so quickly. “I did nothing. It’s your music that moves him! When he knew the composition comes from Theresa, he agreed to see us immediately. Alisha, you should thank yourself!” I was afraid of reveal personal information, especially as a werewolf, so when I published my song or sold the copy right to others, I always used the name “Theresa”. By the way, I had several millions fans on twitter, and I thought this was one of the reason that the director would like to give me a chance. We got to the director’s company and chatted with him. He had bought the copyright of my song and said that he would recommend me to sign me as a singer in his company. If everything went well, I would be able to become a singer and sing my song personally! I was very happy to get this news. After getting out of his office, I hugged Nova warmly and thanked her for waiting for me. “Nova, you can’t believe what he told me just now! He advised me to be a singer! And he will recommend me to his company!” “That’s awesome! I know you can do it! But he asked me angrily though gritted teeth, “What’s the fucking are you talking about just now?” I didn’t realize what he was saying until I saw his sullen face. Oh, female vibrator! He was very busy on the werewolf pack as well as the human world. I had to use this way to remind him that I was waiting for him at home. I loved the valuable gifts, but what I really cared about was him, my husband. He always looked down on my pack and me. Without the order from his grandma, it was impossible for me, a disable werewolf from a small and weak pack. My marriage to Archie was a mistake from the beginning. We were two completely different people who were brought together by the circumstances of life. Our relationship was nothing but a torture for both of us. I tried to make it work, but it was evident I ended in failure. I was tired of living in a state of constant frustration, anger, and sadness. I knew that the only way out of this misery was through a divorce. I gathered all my courage and confronted Archie. "Mr. Redner, you're overthoughtful. I am sorry to waste you two years. Now I’d like to give you freedom. I am not threatening you. I promise, as long as you have prepared the divorce ritual, I will attend it immediately! You needn’t do anything for Black Furies. Our marriage is a mistake, and I just want to correct it in time, for I don't want to see you anymore either." With those words, I felt a heavy weight lifting off my chest. I was free. But as I turned to leave, Archie's expression caught me off guard. He seemed surprised, almost as if he didn't expect me to be so sure of my decision. I took that as my cue to leave and turned to run, tears streaming down my face. My vision blurred, and I didn't see the stranger who I was about to collide with. "Ouch!" I cried as I hit a solid chest, and I braced myself for impact. But to my surprise, strong arms wrapped around me, catching me before I fell. I looked up to see a pair of deep blue eyes staring back at me. It was as if I had run into a hero who had come to rescue me. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face. When he saw the tears on my face, he took a tissue to me with concern. There was something about him that made me feel safe and secure, something that I had never felt with Archie.
