Chapter 3 Too Short

Alisha’s POV Fuck Archie! I’m about to explode with this bastard’s answer. How could he be so heartless? I took a deep breath before answering his call, my anger simmering just below the surface. "What the hell are you talking about, Archie?" I called him and asked angrily. "I never agreed to give you half of my money," he replied curtly. I couldn't believe his audacity. "I'm your wife as well as the Luna of the Golden Crest, Archie. I deserve a fair share of our assets." "That's not going to happen, Alisha. We're not getting divorced." I was taken aback. "What are you talking about? I told you this morning that I wanted a divorce. According to the werewolf rules, I was rejecting you and you didn't object." "I will never allow it." Archie insisted, his voice stern. I felt my blood boil. "You don't get to decide that! I'm done with this marriage, Archie. It's over." Archie growled on the other end of the line. "We got married before the Moon Goddess, Alisha. All the pack members witnessed it. You can't just throw that away." I rolled my eyes. "We can divorce before the Moon Goddess too." "Stop talking nonsense, Alisha. You're my wife, and I won't let you go that easily," Archie snapped. "How dare you reject me!" I felt a pang of fear. The alpha was the most powerful and noble existence in a pack, and none dared go against his will. But maybe because of the lack of my wolf, I usually couldn’t feel his dangerous vibe. I just treated him as my husband, my lover, instead of a cold and strict ruler. But now, I felt a little scared, for Archie in fact never said so sternly to me before. Yeah, I wouldn’t be his wife in the future, so he needn’t pretend to be a gentle husband. “Remember, Alisha, you are my wife! Don’t let me hear the word ‘divorce’ again! But I rejected it immediately. Then my phone rang again and again and I kept rejecting it. I didn’t want to talk with that bastard now. Nova said, “Well done, Alisha, you needn’t waste time on your shit husband. He has given so many resources to Erma and helped her to become a singer star in the human world, but he treats you so harshly! I became more furious after hearing this. Nova was right. Erma was a normal she-wolf in the Golden Crest, but in the human world, she had another identity, a famous singer and Archie was her investor. I had already known this, and I thought this was a way for Archie to compensate Erma. Remember what the professor said? He said you had what it takes to be a professional musician. You shouldn't have given up on your dreams when you got married." Her words stung, but they were also true. I had let go of my dreams to be a supportive wife to Archie, but it had all been for nothing. I had to correct my mistakes and pursue my passions once again. With my job writing songs at university, I finally had a chance to support myself and chase my dreams. "Thank you, Nova," I said, tears welling up in my eyes. "Your support means everything to me. I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm finally going to pursue my dreams." "I have no doubt that you'll succeed," Nova said, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You're the most gifted composer I've ever met. And tomorrow, I'll even introduce you to some professional composers who can help you achieve your goals." As I picked up my phone to respond to Archie's message, I felt a newfound sense of determination. "I'm not trying to threaten you," I typed. "I just need to leave you. It's time for us to move on. My rejection is serious." And with those words, I knew that I was taking the first step towards a better life. “Fuck! I have provide you with much money, big house and the noble identity as my wife, where are you unsatisfied with your life now?” “You!” “Are you out of your mind?” “Your personality is too mean, your temper is too bad and the most important thing, your pennis is too short!” After sending this message out, I turned off my phone right away and then went to room to have a good sleep.
