Chapter 28 Time With Momma Wolf

Zach and Hillary leave the room together. Hillary is from our pack. We sort of grew up together, but I didn’t really get to know her before leaving the pack. Like I said earlier, I was focused on other things and missed out on making friends or building a peer group. I was in class with the older students. I didn’t have a lot in common with them. They all saw me as the little smart princess tagging along. Thinking back on all the things I missed out on by going with Kosta when I was still young makes me sad. I gave up so much of my life for him. “It’s going to be ok, sweetheart.” My mom said. “It’s going to be an adjustment and take a little time, but soon thinking about him won’t hurt as much.”
