Chapter 4 Their Interactions

After a few minutes, literally 30 minutes, they came down. Mrs Schmitz was already in the rage to shout at anyone. As soon as they spotted the couple, Judi rushed to them. “Don't take our sister's words to heart, Brother-in-law... She meant no harm” She said apparently blaming lza. Izara rolled her eyes as if she expected this. Devon sighed showing his grief. Mrs Schmitz could understand what happened in the room. “I am sorry Dev... I failed to educate her well” She glared at her daughter first and followed to her husband who was still in the thought of breaking off the engagement. “Aunt... Don't be... It's nothing. Am I right lza?” His words confused them as Izara grinned. Soon Judi backed off. Devon wrapped his hand around her waist, pulling her close to him. They were shocked by his sudden action. Even Izara didn't expect that. “She felt insecure that I didn't love her... That's why she wanted to break off her engagement, Aunt... Now we cleared our misunderstanding” He smiled sweetly which sent creepy vibes to lzara. She could feel unusual things from him. But she couldn't pinpoint the situation. “Am I right Iza” He asked as she shuttered under his grip. The trembling motion could be felt by him. But he let it slide. Seemed like he was already pissed by her actions. “Yeah... He is right... I recklessly took my decision without considering his thoughts” She nervously chuckled as Mrs Schmitz huffed. She didn't know how to face the Trosnitz family and Klein family if they broke off the engagement. “Thank god... I am so worried” She said, smiling at the couple. “Then it's settled,” Mr Schmitz chuckled. Like father, like daughter. Both were taking decisions recklessly. Mrs Schmitz glared at him. “Wanna have a little chat with you, Sven... Can we?” She smiled politely as he gulped a lump of saliva. He knew it was not going to end smoothly. Just praying for a good end. Mr and Mrs Schmitz left the hall. “Can we go and meet Estel...” Devon said, gripping her waist making her flinch. The goosebumps made their way to her skin. She nodded, ignoring someone. Yeah... They have forgotten about Judi. Perhaps... It happened all the time. She was fuming in anger. Everyone thought of her as a misfortune since she came to Schmitz. It's true though. She was the biggest misfortune ever they had. That was all her doing. Stir up the problem, making Mr Schmitz solve it. Devon and lzara left for the garden. “Damn... I thought... They will separate... What was happening here... Didn't they just accept the engagement because of business... How come they were in love... They didn't see each other often...” “It's making me crazy... Damn... Fuck... I should come up with another idea... If not, she will steal him from me... I should contact her first” She was mumbling her words, not caring about the surrounding. It doesn't change at all. No one was going to catch her red-handed. Izara and Devon went to the garden. Devon was still holding lzara if he let her go, she would definitely run away from him. The tension between them was so obvious. She yanked his hand away from her, stepping towards the garden. Devon's lips flashed an unusual smirk. Soon they reached the garden where Chris and Estelle were having their precious time. The giggling sound and laughing sounds could be heard. As soon as Estelle spotted her twin sister... She rushed to her, jumping on her. Izara stumbled back but was held by Devon. Devon patted Estelle gently “There there... Estel... Don't make Iza fall” Devon showed a pretty warm smile as Estelle pouted. She hugged lzara protectively. They were having a good relationship though like they were friends for decades. “Don't you dare to steal her away from me, Dev” Estelle said, piercing him with her sharp glare. He chuckled, ruffling her hair as if he knew them well. Once again, Estelle pouted, catching them off guard with her cuteness. “I am not a kid... Don't ruffle my hair” She said, yanking her head away. Izara looked at her twin sister with the utmost care in her eyes which was noticed by Devon. “What happened? Everything is fine right” Chris asked as Devon nodded. “What's now?” Estelle rolled her eyes showing her annoyance. “About engagement Estel...” Izara said hesitantly, tilting her head. Estelle looked at lzara as if she was going to decide their future. A cute little pout appeared out of nowhere on Estelle's puffy cheeks “She is my death damn... She is fucking cute... I wanna squish her in my arms” Chris was in his own world admiring the cuteness of his fiancee “Are you sure about breaking off the engagement?” Now Estelle was hesitating. Although she wanted to follow her sister, she couldn't bear the fact that she had to leave her love forever. If they break off the engagement, they will surely find a suitable bride to stand beside her love. She didn't want that incident to happen. lzara understood her feelings. She just ruffled her hair, making the younger one confused. “Don't worry... I just want to play a little bit with Dad... That's all. Nothing serious” Izara said, assuring her with her warm smile. “Thank god... She didn't cancel the engagement... If she would have done that, I would have kidnapped my baby and caged her in my mansion...” Chris's eyes became dark while thinking of something scary from others' perspectives. Devon nudged. Chris with his elbow as he came back to his senses. When did he come close to Chris? Chris was dumbfounded. Soon he was brought back to his senses once again by Devon's question. “You didn't think of something, did you?” He whispered like he read Chris's mind as Chris smirked. It was creepy though “Man... Don't scare her... She isn't like her sister... You knew it right...” Devon said, making Chris realise the situation. Yeah... She isn't like that... Till now... She only knows my only side... She didn't know about my dark side... I don't want to scare her away by doi ng something inappropriate” He was lost in his thoughts once again.
