I joined a golf club to improve my golf and to meet others and it took me about a year to become recognised by other members. I managed eventually to play regular games in a group during the week but didnt find another group to play with at weekends. A member of my weekday group suggested playing in the club matches as they were always short of players and it would a good way to meet others. I thought this was a good idea so I decided to add my name to the list.
