When Susanne arrived home, her mind was free of worries. Whatever fears, expectations or plans she had were neatly shelved in the work section of her mind, only to be revisited on the next working day. Unless it was a highly pressing matter, she never mixed business with her personal life. Right now, the only thing on her mind was to have a cool bath and a nice warm evening meal. Being happily divorced and childless, she was happy and proud of living alone. Although, in the past, there were some nights when she felt so lonely that she had to hug a pillow in order to fall asleep. But nowadays, Ben was there to change all that. Yes, she knew that one day he would have to move on and chase after someone his age, but she would make the best of it while he was still with her. And talking of being with her, she could not help but go back to wondering what he felt about them after what had happened earlier at work. Time would tell of course, but she wished she could read his mind right now instead of waiting until he came to see her.
