Chapter 15 First Kiss

Mishka entered inside her room and when she switched on the lights, she was startled, looking at Christian, who was sitting at the edge of the bed with a bottle of Legacy by Angostura, the world’s most expensive rum Mishka took a step forward in his direction. “Chris?” she muttered in a low voice and Christian peered up at her with half-opened eyes and a broad smile. “Oh, you came back. Come sit here. I was waiting for you.” Christian said in a sluggish voice, patting beside him on the empty space, and took a sip from his wine bottle. “Chris, I think you are drunk. You should head back to your room,” Mishka said, standing in front of him. “No, I am not drunk. I am completely fine. Come sit beside me, I want to say something.” Christian said, extending his hand towards Mishka and when she did not take his hand, he grabbed her by the elbow and pulled her towards him. Mishka stumbled because of her high heels and fell straight on top of him. They ended up in a very awkward position. Mishka tried to stand up, but Christian held her waist and pulled closer. “Chris!” Mishka tried to maintain some distance between them by keeping her palm on his chest, but he flipped Mishka and hovered over her. “What are you doing, Chris? Get off me.” Mishka hissed at him, her eyes wide and she was having a hard time wiggling out from his grip but he didn’t move an inch. “Shhhhh…” He kept his finger on her lips. “Quiet and stop wiggling. Now I will say and you will listen.” Christian said and Mishka looked at him silently, their faces were inches apart. “You know I have seen a lot of beautiful, gorgeous, sexy women and even dated some of Victoria’s Secret models, but I never felt the kind of attraction towards them that I feel towards you. Your big brown eyes, your small nose, your dimpled smile, your soft pink lips, and your wildflower fragrance. I just can’t ignore anything about you. I can’t stop thinking about you since you’ve stepped into my life. What are you doing to me?” He asked, moving his finger from Mishka’s eyes to her nose then to her lips. Mishka was about to push him when he suddenly lowered his head and kissed her on the lips. Mishka was stunned and her whole body paralyzed. The kiss was soft in starting and she was almost lost in it, but soon it turned into passionate and urgent and he started sucking her lips. Mishka came back to her senses and tried to push him, but he was not ready to lift his heavy body. He pinned Mishka’s wrists above her head and started kissing on the crook of her neck. Mishka was wiggling to free her hands from his giant grip but failed in every attempt. After a few minutes, his kisses stopped, and he stilled, holding Mishka’s both wrists. Mishka tilted her head to the left and looked at him. He was sleeping like a baby, keeping his head on her shoulder. Mishka slowly freed her wrist from his hold and tried to push him, but damn, he was very heavy. Mustering up all the strength inside her, she flipped themselves over again with her being on top of him. She was about to pull herself away from him when the star from her silver chain stuck with one button of his shirt. She tried to detangle it but was unsuccessful. Defeated, she stood up and his button broke out and now was hanging with the star in her neck. Mishka saw a glass filled with water on the side table and picked it up. She threw water on Christian’s face and he woke up instantly. “Raining... it’s raining” He yelled and looked at Mishka in panic. Mishka closed his mouth with her palm. “Stop shouting!!.” He nodded his head and Mishka removed her palm. “Now get up. Here, hold my hand.” She said, extending her hand in his direction. “Wow Miahhk, you have three hands. That’s pretty cool.” Christian chuckled. “Yeah, I also have two horns on my head to kick you in your abs, and trust me, I so want to do it, but your drunken state is saving you from my punches,” Mishka said and Christian giggled, listening to her. Mishka quickly removed her high heels to support him properly without tripping. She held him by his elbow and made him stand. Christian gripped Mishka’s shoulder, and she held him by his waist. “God, Chris, you are so heavy,” Mishka muttered. “Hey, I am not heavy,” Chris pouted. “Yeah right. Now tell me, where is your room?” Mishka asked. ~ JAKE ~ “Why dad announced Christian and Mishka’s wedding suddenly?” Berry asked his son Jake. “I don’t know,” I replied, sitting on the couch next to Dad. “You said you heard them talking this morning, and she refused to marry Chris. So what the hell happened suddenly?” Mom asked, with anger visible on her face. “I do heard them and she clearly stated that she does not want to marry Chris. I don’t know why Grandpa made this announcement, but I will find out soon.” I spat and sat back on the couch comfortably. “You better do, Jake!! Because I want you to take over the CEO’s position in Knight Inc. and if Chris married that girl….whatever her name is then I am afraid you will lose the position forever,” Dad said getting up from the couch with Mom and they left me alone in the living area. I held my face in my hand and remembered when I spoke to Mishka on a video call for the first time two months back. FLASHBACK I called Grandpa to check on him when he was in India. We were talking on the video call, he was sharing his experiences and I was happily listening to him, but then someone said Dadu and Grandpa turned to see. That was when I saw a glimpse of the most beautiful girl. Wearing a white loose T-shirt and blue jeans without any makeup and a messy bun, she was a beautiful ray of sunlight. Grandpa introduced us and we instantly hit it off. Soon we started texting and talking to each other on video calls about random things. She was a really sweet girl. I started to like her, and I wanted to marry her. I didn’t propose to her immediately. I wanted to talk to Grandpa about it first, but when Grandpa came back, he burst all my bubbles, saying that he has Chosen Mishka for Chris. I kept my mouth shut at that time because I was sure that Chris will reject her for Lia, but everything turned upside down when he said yes for Mishka. FLASHBACK END I have time, the wedding date is not yet finalized. I still have a chance with her, and I am not going to lose it at any cost. I will talk to Chris. ~ MISHKA ~ After following Christian’s direction, I finally reached his room. I removed his blue jacket and tucked him in the bed, removing his shoes and covering him up with the duvet. I was about to go when he held my hand and I turned to look at him to free my hand when I heard him saying. “Mom, please don’t be angry with me. I promise I will be a good boy,” He murmured in a low voice and tried to understand his sluggish words. “Please don’t hate me, mom. I love you so much. Please don’t hate me, I will be a good boy.” He said again clutching my hand tightly. I sat on my knees near his bed and stroked his hair slowly. “Don’t worry, just sleep. I am here with you. I will always be.” I whispered in his ears and he calmed down a few minutes later. I tried to remove my hand, but again he clutched it tightly. Defeated, I sat on my knees on the floor for a few more minutes and I didn’t know when I dozed off. *** What's Coming Next? "I want you to sign these papers," Christian said in his deep domineering voice and forwarded the file in Mishka's direction. "What is this?" She asked while picking the file. "Read and I'll explain everything," Christian replied and as soon as Mishka opened the file, she paled reading the bold letters. "CONTRACT MARRIAGE" Will she sign the papers or her single masterstroke is going to change everything forever? What will happen when their entirely different world will collide? Will these two distinct personalities find their happily ever after with each other?
