Chapter 33

It had been three months since Denzel had set his eyes on Kate. He had tried all that was within his powers but Kate wouldn’t just get to see reasons with him. She had refused to move back to the house to resume her work. She had also cut off all their prior means of communication. Denzel had gone to see Kate at her place but most times, he would always meet the door locked. He tried all he could to let go of that hurting feeling but no matter what he did, the feelings just wouldn’t go away. He felt frustrated and devastated. He had never loved someone so much that it had to hurt him this bad. He felt love was supposed to be fun just like he had always watched in movies while growing up, but perhaps, this was the reality and he had to deal with it. Although at all times, he always blamed himself for allowing it to turn out this horrible. He had never imagined himself to be so much into women. He had always seen himself growing up to be like his father, fully goal-driven and not just about fun, women, and ass. Perhaps what happened to him while growing up was what made him like women a lot. He remembered it all. He just couldn’t forget any bit of it all. Most times, the flashes would always appear to him in his dream. He was just still a boy then; 7 years old, so young and naïve, shy and afraid. But of course, all that couldn’t have happened if his father who was always traveling around the world on a business trip was present. His mother was there but he wasn’t so attached to her.
