Chapter 32 The One With The Girls Night

We finally arrived at my apartment. Ken insisted on waiting until Ivan arrived at my door before we said our goodbyes. He promised to call and text me every day. I just nodded, dreading what I felt inside, knowing this was it. I hugged him one last time, resting my head in on the crook of his shoulder. I inhaled his scent, basking in his warmth for the last time. He took me in his embrace, kissing the top of my head. I felt him reluctantly let me go after one last kiss. It was a gentle one, the most caring and loving kiss that he'd ever given me. It was our goodbye kiss. The one I would remember for the rest of my life. I have no idea if we'll ever see each other again. He said we would, he'd promised. But as time went by, I became less sure of our future. We looked into each other's eyes as he finally ended our parting moment with another sweet kiss on my forehead.
