Chapter 27 On The Run

Only when Kael reached Demetrius's underground cabin did he finally put Farah down, her feet touching the ground with a gentle thud. Demetrius and Kael had run with incredible speed and strength, their movements almost supernatural. Farah's eyes were wide with wonder, and she felt a little dazed, still trying to process the events that had unfolded. As she looked around, she realized that she couldn't possess either of the two men, their auras strong and resilient. Demetrius, seeming to sense her gaze, turned to her and spoke in a calm, reassuring tone. "You guys will be safe here for now, but tomorrow we'll need to move before this place is discovered."
