Chapter 35

As the long day of work came to a close, Hazel's expression was one of relief and exhaustion as she arranged her stuff, preparing to head home. She methodically tidied up her desk, putting away papers and files, and straightening up her pens and pencils. She then picked up her bag and phone, slinging the bag over her shoulder as she headed towards the door. As she walked downstairs through the elevator, Hazel's expression was calm and collected, her eyes fixed on the floor numbers as they ticked by. When the doors opened, she stepped out into the cool evening air, taking a deep breath as she gazed out at the surroundings.
