Chapter 23

Orion's eyes seemed to bore into Logan's soul, his gaze cold and unyielding. Logan's face was battered and bruised, his eyes swollen from the beating he received. Despite his weakened state, Logan's spirit remained unbroken, his eyes flashing with defiance as he gazed up at Orion. Orion's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with amusement. He reached out a hand, his fingers tracing the contours of Logan's face. "You're a fighter, I'll give you that," Orion said, his voice low and husky. "But you'll break. They all break eventually."
