Rachel POV I should’ve sent him to hell. Should’ve spat in his face, screamed until my voice gave out, and thrown him back out the window like the trash he was. But my hand betrayed my brain, moving on its own, unlocking the window in an impulse I couldn’t control. I stepped back, my heart pounding in my chest, as Jeremy gripped the frame and slid inside, landing on my bedroom floor with a hoarse sigh, as if he’d climbed a mountain to reach me.
