Chapter 10 Against The Plan
"On Friday, you're gonna be meeting with Blake Knight again. Unlike last week, you'll be meeting with him every Friday and Saturday." Jose began.
"Okay??" Abigail drawled.
"This time you wouldn't just be a stripper. You'll start making him have a thing for you---"
"Okay, that's the height of it!" Abigail interrupted and Jose raised his eyebrows at her. "How the hell do you expect me to suddenly start giving him seductive eyes that, oh please, I wanna fuck you?" She asked sarcastically.
"That's not what I'm talking about Abigail. Besides, you just can't continue being a stripper to show off. We gotta start carrying out our plan, or else Mr. Rizzo might just get rid of us; who knows." Jose stated. "Again, on your first day at LUST, the receptionist told me Blake Knight almost asked you for a night, so I expect it to run smoothly."
"Yeah, he did and might have lost interest... Shit, whatever!" Abigail rolled her eyeballs infuriatingly at him about rising on her feet.
"Another announcement..." Jose said before she could completely rise on her feet.
Abigail glanced down again at him, breathing out tiredly.
"The party is tomorrow night, you might have forgotten." Jose reminded.
"The Ursula party?" Abigail asked.
"Be formal." He corrected. "You might have had a bad encounter with her, and you possibly will in the future, but for now, let's be friendly and maybe avoid her as well."
"Avoid her in her party? I hope that's possible." Abigail said as she rose to her feet. "I'd be going to bed now, I would appreciate no disturbance," Abigail said as she walked to her bedroom.
"Okay, goodnight. I'll be going to sleep as well, tell me if you need anything." Jose said after her.
Abigail closed the door from behind as she breathed out a sigh, a smile spreading across her face.
Jose really thought she would give in and miss the chance to tour New York City and sleep. Hell no! She didn't love going to bed early since she was a night owl.
That said, Abigail walked over to her closet and brought out the dress she had planned on wearing for the night outing or maybe sneak outing which Jose had no idea about. When it comes down to it he's at fault for not allowing her to tour New York just because Ursula saw her.
Abigail changed into a short armless gown and didn't even bother packing her hair. She took a black purse and went ahead to arrange the pillows as though if anyone came to check on her, they would think she was asleep. She was used to that. Her first time as a stripper, Scarlett hadn't known about it and she has always pulled the same trick.
Abigail covered the pillows with a blanket, and with a satisfied look, she tiptoed out of her bedroom.
Fortunately, she was able to sneak out of the house without waking Jose, who must either be asleep or watching noisy movies since that's what he knows how to do best aside from being a bodyguard and watchful informant of Mr. Rizzo.
Abigail began strolling on the road. It took a while before she could catch a cab and told him to drive her to a favorite spot in New York.
She was still gazing at the city when a beep came through her phone. She opened her purse and fetched out her phone seeing it was from Scarlett.
*Just getting off from work, what about you? Do you have any favorite clients yet*?
Abigail smirked at the message as she typed back.
*Don't skip dinner after showering as you always do. No favorite client. New York is boring.*
"Would you like to get off here?" The cabman brought her attention to him.
Abigail looked out the window, an interested expression appearing on her face. "Yes, here's my card." Abigail got out of the cab after paying for the fare.
She was stranded in the middle of nowhere, but she surely knew she had to find something to do before finding her way back home.
"Let's ease our mind," Abigail said to herself as she walked towards the rich-looking bar across from her.
She pushed the door open and the interior of the bar looked just as expected. Giving off a wealthy-only bar. She would have thought of finding a client who would offer her thousands of dollars for the night, but she already had a mission that would cost any amount anyone was going to offer.
Abigail strode to the bartender and she had her seat on the barstool. "What would you like please..." The male bartender asked.
"Tequila, please, two shots." She winked, and he smiled in response, turning his back to her to serve the order.
Abigail gazed at the drinks arranged in the bar, and she could swear they all cost a fortune. She should be ready to get billed high for her shots.
The barman returned to her with the shots, and she took the cup, taking a sip from it.
"Feels so good." She commented as soon as the drink hit her throat. The taste felt as though it was her first time drinking alcohol, thanks to Jose, who hadn't bought alcohol yet and stocked it at home.
Abigail turned to the crowd; it was less noisy, unlike some bar she used to know with many familiar faces. Even if she wanted to see any familiar faces it shouldn't be Jose or Blake and his wife.
Thinking about Blake almost gave her the goosebumps now, which made her turn to drink from the shots again.
He had looked good, just like any handsome client who was prone to cheating on their wife, and personally, as a stripper, is that her type of man?
Hell no! Is there even any possibility that she will get to call someone her man? They are all client. And when did she even start thinking about her type in men?
Abigail turned to continue staring at the bar when the entrance door opened, and she watched some familiar men who looked like bouncers enter.
Are they here to chill after working all day? Abigail almost blurted out that question when she saw Blake Knight walk in, dressed in a black T-shirt and trousers.
He's the one they escorted in? "Shit!" Abigail gritted her teeth when she reminded herself that she shouldn't be meeting Blake Knight for Jose's unknown reason.
Oblivious of what she was about to do, she froze on her track when Blake Knight's gaze caught with hers.
Shouldn't she be fainting out of embarrassment? Why's she trying to hide this clumsily?
And no way is he approaching her... Yes way, he is!
