Chapter 118 Beneath The Full Moon
The moon rested low in the sky, illuminating the heavy forest that closed in around Black Hollow with its pale, silvery glow. It was one of those nights that seemed to make the air vibrate with an unnatural sense of tension, as if the earth itself held its breath. Seraphine stood at the forest's edge, her pulse pounding. The wind pulled at her hair, the acrid smell of pine and wet ground spinning about her. But it was the smell of threat in the air of hunting that sent her heart racing.
