Chapter 29 Fragile Hope

Liam’s heart raced as he followed the kidnappers' car, every fiber of his being focused on catching up. He kept his distance, his car silently gliding through the winding mountain roads, the headlights from the kidnappers’ vehicle illuminating the night. He could see Suzanne through the window, struggling against her captors, her face a mask of fear. Inside the car, Suzanne kicked, clawed, and screamed, but there was nothing she could do. The men were too strong, too relentless. Her chest heaved with desperation, her mind spinning. "Who sent you?" she screamed, her voice shaky but defiant. "I’ll pay double! Triple! Just let me go!"
