The house is quiet, too quiet. I can hear Isabel in the kitchen, the soft clinking of pots and pans. It should comfort me, but tonight it doesn't. I am pacing. Restless. Too many thoughts, too much tension in my chest. I have been surviving in a daze for too long, wrapped up in all the things to be done, the fights I need to fight, the enemies I need to destroy.
