I hadn't expected her to show up—at least, not today. The door into Jaxon's office burst open without so much as a knock, and there she was. Lauren. As if nothing had changed. My heart fell the moment I saw her, standing there in the doorway, like she owned the place, that smug grin pasted on her face.
