Chapter 4

Eleanor's Point Of View…. "We can handle this. I assure you," The maid murmured as she took a position between my legs. "I've never done this before but it's just to drag the head out gently right?" She questioned nervously, smiling sheepishly as she turned to face me. "R- right?!" It took a lot of shouting and yelling before I could hear my babies' cry. I leaned back, exhausted as I gasped for air. Shaking my head, I shut my eyes, gritting my teeth as those tears streamed down my face, silent and unrelenting. "It's twins.. You.. you have two beautiful girls.." The maid mumbled, her eyes growing wide as she stared at the two crying babies covered in blood. She creased her brows and said, "The babies smell of wolfsbane. It's a miracle they're alive.." She was right after all. Only the Moon goddess knows how many times Taylor injected wolfsbane to my drinks. Giving birth to these wonderful twins on my birthday is one blessing on its own. "One of your twins looks sick.. she's turning blue. Do you think it's because of the wolfsbane?" The maid inquired, but I was unable to respond because all of my energy had been depleted. After a while, the door opened and Agnes returned with a maid by her side, looking all terrified. "She had twins?!" She asked with wide eyes, glancing at my babies with dropped jaws. "How about the Luna? How is she?” The maid who assisted in my labor inquired, shifting her glance to Agnes. Agnes shook her head, her expression filled with despair. She wiped a tear from the corner of her eyes, not having the courage to answer the maid's question. I am convinced something happened to Taylor's child. Did her child die? Agnes approached one of my twins, making me nervous. "What - what is it?" I managed to inquire with a shaking voice. "Agnes.." I whispered and she caressed my hair with a smile on her face. "You did well..you had twins.." She soothed and my eyes went round when she carefully scooped one of my twins in her hands-- the healthy one. "No! No! Don't don't touch her... " "I'm sorry your highness. I'm only following instructions.." With my last strength, I grabbed her white robe but she swiftly pricked a needle into my arm. Unconsciousness struck me, and I caught one last glimpse of her turning away and speaking to the other maids. ** I jerked awake with a thudding heart, my eyes darting around the dungeon. There was no one here except me and the Crib. I was cleaned up in my sleep, but my pussy still hurts from the whole thing. Mother never mentioned how painful labor was. "Agnes.." I called, but she was nowhere to be seen. With my last strength, I dashed to the crib, only to find my child sleeping soundly. Her body remained bluish, and she did not appear to be breathing. "No.. no. You can't do this to me, Moon goddess!" I screamed, tears welling in my eyes. I scooped her up with shaky hands and placed her on my body, but she remained motionless. She's cold to the touch, making me more frightened. "Please.. please don't leave me alone. You're all I have left.." I cried as I remembered how my other child was taken away from me. I rocked her in my hands, careful of how small she was. She was too cold and I'm starting to lose hope. She wasn't moving or making any sound.. "Agnes!! Agness!!! " I yelled at the top of my lungs, holding my child dearly in my arms. I hurried to the iron bars, but the cage was already locked. "Agnes, please! Call the healers. My baby. My baby! There is something wrong with my baby!!" Suddenly, the door opened, and Agnes walked in. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I clutched her robe. "Call the healers. My baby. She is blue. Where is my other twin? Where is my baby, Agnes? Bring her to me!" "Alpha Killian was the one who instructed me to bring one of your twins to him. I doubt if both of your twins will be able to survive for long. Both your twins are ill.” "No.. My child was healthy. You're lying. You took my child to replace Taylor's baby.. You took my child.. bring her back to me!!!" Screaming, I grabbed her collars and she gazed at me, her features mixed with shock and sympathy. "I can't bring your child back.. The Alpha's orders can't be defiled." "So Killian did this! He took my child!!" "I'm sorry ...but if you can make it out of here.. your child should be able to survive. There is a healer who lives at the pack's border. She will be able to help you." Agnes suggested but I shook my head in disagreement. "I'm not leaving until I get my child's other twin from Killian.. I won't go anywhere else..." Gritting, I snapped, my face etched with determination. Agnes jerked my shoulders, her eyes growing wide as she searched my face "You have no power here, lady Eleanor! Have you forgotten you're no longer the Luna? Thank goodness you had twins because Alpha Killian would still claim it if it had just been one child. I had to inform him that your other child could barely make it, which was why he asked me to bring the healthy one among them. The child with you has high chances of surviving, my lady.." She said, shifting her gaze at my child. "I'm giving you an option now.. leave and don't return! Who knows what Alpha Killian might do to you now that you've finally conceived. Remember everyone still sees you as a murderer. Now that everyone has been distracted, do everything you can to leave. I'm only doing it to help you!!!" I clung to my child with deep conviction in my heart. My body trembled as I dropped to my knees, but Agnes was quick enough to catch me before any major damage was done. However, the damage to my heart was unspeakable and I struggled to find the right words to describe the raging storm happening inside me. I finally heard my baby cry and my face lit "She's crying!! She's finally crying..." I mumbled, a sad smile parting my lips. "I'm willing to help you escape from here. But...your baby must remain silent, and you must feed her now that she is hungry..." Nodding at her words, I sat at a corner and breastfed my child, sobbing quietly as tears rolled from my cheeks to her face. After I was done breastfeeding her, she slept off to my relief. When we heard some guards voices, my eyes went round and my jaw dropped as well as Agnes. She grabbed my hands and whispered, "follow me!!!" Trembling, I followed her quietly, holding on to my dear child. Killian's face flashed in my thoughts and with it came bitterness, and hatred, the size of a river with strong currents to drown me. "I will never forgive him for all he has done to me!!!"
