Chapter 11 The Last Lifeline

Lucius, who had now come to his senses, had an additional task for the day—job hunting. Armed with his incomplete resume, he visited more than a dozen recruitment companies. However, not a single one of them could recognize his potential. The moment they saw Lucius' resume, they threw disdainful, contemptuous glances his way and promptly dismissed him. Once again, Lucius walked out of a real estate company, his shoulders sagging in disappointment from another failed interview. He couldn't help but feel disheartened. He found himself squatting next to a battered tricycle, smoking a cigarette while staring at the resume in his hand.
