Chapter 127 Failed Avoidance

After the conversation Layla had with Alfred, and the realization that Alfred was beginning to recognize her, Layla tried to avoid him for completely different reasons. When he did his rounds, she was in another part of the ship, and she only went on deck when he was down below. But there was no avoiding him when he came to the salon to eat with the crew that evening. Everyone now knew that it was Layla who was doing the cooking, and Ken made only a token pretense by putting some of the food she had cooked onto Alfred's plate in the galley and taking it out to him. Alfred's eyebrows rose when he saw it wasn't burnt, and he licked his lips appreciatively at the taste.
