Chapter 4 His Hatred
Olivia's POV:
I would never forget that day, the day Peter, the man I loved most, laid such a cruel trap for me.
I demanded answers from Peter, but he lowered his head, silent, as though he were holding back his anger.
"Are you all insane? Peter, I am the one you love most! Why are you treating me like this?"
As I asked this question, my tears fell uncontrollably. Peter looked up, and when he saw my tears, he was filled with smug satisfaction, a terrifying smile curling at the corners of his mouth.
Peter stepped forward and grabbed my neck. I tried to break free, but my strength was no match for him.
Is Peter planning to kill me now? Why? When did we develop such intense hatred for each other?
"My cruelty to you doesn't even come close to the way your dad treated my parents. If it weren't for your dad, my parents wouldn't have died! My entire family died because of your dad! Do you really think I would ever love you? I find you disgusting! I think you're filthy!"
What? What is Peter saying? It must be that I'm in so much pain from Peter's grip that I'm hearing things.
I didn't believe it. I wanted to deny it, but Peter was holding me too tightly, and I couldn't speak properly. I could only shake my head while tears streamed down my face.
I felt like I was about to be strangled by Peter, when suddenly, he released his grip. I gasped for air, but as the air rushed into my lungs, I broke into a violent cough.
"That's impossible! Peter, how could my dad, who has treated you so well for all these years, possibly harm your whole family?" I ignored the pain in my chest and desperately tried to explain. There must be some misunderstanding.
"Your dad treated me well? He forced me to marry you and forced Vanessa to have an abortion! That was my first child!"
"Olivia, do you know? Your dad supported the abortion law, so he had a hand in killing my unborn child."
By the time Peter finished speaking, his eyes were bloodshot, filled with sorrow and rage for his parents and child.
If all of this was true, then I had been utterly foolish. I had been deceived by Peter all this time.
I couldn't help but mock myself. I was so stupid, blindly trusting Peter. I even defended him in front of my dad, telling him how great Peter was.
An unborn baby?
I never imagined Peter would get involved with his stepsister and even father an unborn child with her.
They were the real adulterers! They were the shameless ones!
"You two are disgusting adulterers! You filthy little whores!"
When Peter heard my insults, he slapped my face several times, his voice dripping with venom. "Get it straight, Olivia! You're the one caught in bed, you're the shameless sl*t!"
I felt a sharp pain on my cheek. Peter's hand was large, and he slapped me with so much force that my head spun.
I struggled to stay on my feet, my eyes fixed on Peter and Vanessa. Peter casually adjusted his suit, glanced at me with disgust, and then flashed a charming smile, as if the man who had just slapped me wasn't the same person.
"There's more explosive news. Your dad died last night. Today, I acquired everything your family owns. You and everything belonging to the Fedorov family are now in my hands. If it weren't for torturing you, you would have followed your dad to hell with a bullet last night!"
Peter killed Dad?
The man I loved deceived me and killed my dad, the one I loved most! My anger erupted as I leaped off the bed and rushed at Peter, slapping him across the face, crying and shouting, "You devil! Devil! You'll burn in hell!"
At that moment, I truly wished I had a gun in my hand, so I could shoot both of them without hesitation!
Peter must not have expected me to slap him after hearing about my dad's death. He angrily punched me in the face, and I was knocked to the floor, blood pouring from my nose.
Vanessa stood behind Peter, and I heard her sneer, pretending to pity me. "Oh, what a pathetic sl*t."
I thought I would die in that room from Peter's beating, but instead, Peter had something even more terrifying in store for me.
"Vanessa, let's send her to a mental hospital and lock her up for life."
"That's perfect. We should tell the doctors and nurses there to treat Ms. Fedorov well."
