Melanie stood at the edge of the construction site, scanning the progress with a sense of satisfaction. The collaboration between BioCrest and EcoNexus had proven to be smoother than she anticipated. Steel beams stood tall, and workers moved in a coordinated rhythm, guided by supervisors barking out instructions. It was all coming together faster than expected, and for once, she allowed herself a moment of pride. As she turned toward the parking lot, she realized Mike hadn’t returned.
