Chapter 14 Malicious Intent

OLEANDER Slowly, I raised my head, my heart racing, sure I saw Reyna’s hand twitch but there was nothing. She was still, and my heart raced even faster as I quickly got up and approached her. “Hey,” I whispered, taking her hand, but she didn’t respond. However, I could have sworn I saw her hand move. I sat next to her, again pondering what would happen when she woke up and realized she was in my house. The question that plagued my mind was how to reassure her I harbored no malicious intent.
